2018-02-25 06:50:38 UTC

@BlackDouglas Sorry what do you mean?

2018-02-25 06:50:44 UTC

point of what?

2018-02-25 06:50:47 UTC

Of joining the NRA?

2018-02-25 06:51:11 UTC

Giving money to a group with a history of waffling on gun rights...

2018-02-25 06:51:55 UTC

isnt just an armed populace better than having different groups of armed people?

2018-02-25 06:51:55 UTC

i got 2 bros with guns, 1 is member of nra, other is not

2018-02-25 06:52:10 UTC

the one that is the member of nra has the least guns

2018-02-25 06:52:11 UTC

like a singular armed populace

2018-02-25 06:52:18 UTC

My opinion is....there are a number of organizations that support gun rights. I'm a member of GOA (Gun Owners of America) and a couple others here in CA (because our rights are being trampled). But NRA is on front lines for a number of issues. When it comes to the "evil" black rifles the NRA hasn't always been the greatest. but they do far more good...in my opinion...

2018-02-25 06:52:49 UTC

Good NIght

2018-02-25 06:52:55 UTC

GOA are a lot more hard line on gun rights

2018-02-25 06:52:57 UTC

Who else should I donate to? it sucks to say the 2nd amendment needs money...and members...

2018-02-25 06:53:04 UTC

2018-02-25 06:53:37 UTC

If you want to protect gun rights, focus on people who influence culture/politics on behalf of the 2nd amendment

2018-02-25 06:53:39 UTC

Night

2018-02-25 06:54:02 UTC

people like Alex Jones do far more for gun rights than organizations like the NRA which are glad to take the money/publicity but have a shoddy record at best of actually standing up for them.

2018-02-25 06:54:04 UTC

I agree with all of that...changing the culture...is most important. Take new people shooting...

2018-02-25 06:54:13 UTC

True Dustin..

2018-02-25 06:54:14 UTC

Encourage and educate

2018-02-25 06:54:14 UTC

Politics is downstream from culture

2018-02-25 06:54:17 UTC

I get that

2018-02-25 06:54:27 UTC

basically he's saying for those pro to self protection vs those that are pro to self enslavement to protection services

2018-02-25 06:55:03 UTC

Liberals.

youre paying for a promise from the NRA that they have a bad record at fulfilling. Those dang money thiefs

2018-02-25 06:56:47 UTC

Didn't the NRA waffle on bump stocks as well?

2018-02-25 06:56:48 UTC

I still feel my decision is a good one...I'm a single guy with disposable income...so I became a life member. I just wish we would stop giving inches...

2018-02-25 06:57:01 UTC

Yes NRA screwed people on bumb stocks

2018-02-25 06:57:05 UTC

bump*

2018-02-25 06:57:44 UTC

So after seeing that...Why would anyone wish to join a group like the NRA?

2018-02-25 06:58:19 UTC

so what youre saying is that you hope the organization that you pay to be a part of will changes their politics and get a little serious, however you have really no way of influencing change?
