30yrs ago...few on a few holloweens

i did this

i used to dress up as a victim of a brutal slaying
got my pic taken by cops, emt's and a few hospitals as the most realistic 'victim'
and got banned from kfc and mcdonalds on halloween
i don't do it anymore because it costs me in clothes i have to throw out...also a few hrs in shower/bath to remove the effective looking blood
also it conducts heat away from the skin
great on warm nights but not on cold ones

u know ur outfit is effective when ppl that drive by call 911

saw a few get out of a car to reach the payphone to call

my outfit was a torn shirt, torn t-shirt, scuffed up pants, few rolls of toilet paper, and 2 cups of clear corn syrup and some food coloring

and a little baby powder

u need a paint brush too

10-20 drops of red food coloring(add 1-2 drops of yellow for fresh blood, 1-4 drops of blue for old blood)

1-2 drops of yellow for the 2nd cup...add in some baby powder to it

this is ur base

if u heat it up first a bit in the microwave...it won't feel cold on the skin so much

plastic spoon helps with stirring it

few sprinkles of baby powder in the blood cup gives the effect of blood cell clusters, u don't need much..just a little

the toilet paper acts as flesh, somewhat torn to indicate a ravaged attack on ur body

a high level of baby powder to the 'clear-yellowish' mix, and u can use this to make instestines

well cheap baby powder is good for what i make for halloween

did a version of this outfit for my nephew once...i gave him a sliced throat

i modified a costume of a spear thru his friend and gave it a bit more horrific special effects to it

the reason i used the corn syrup is because when it's effectively colored and textured...it still looks like it's fresh after a few hrs

i read a fangoria movie mag once, on how they make the blood effects
