So this happened a few years back but it put me, my mum and my bro almost into bankruptcy.
My dad was a gambler that got absolutely huge loans and because of his gambling addiction my mom couldn't take it anymore and divorced him, or that is how it looks to an outsider. You see, she wouldn't have normally divorced him. He still was a source of income. If she would have just divorced him, she would have gotten a huge half of a loan on her neck. So, her side of the family (her sister, her husband) supported her and told her they'd give her a loan or something so the bank doesn't take our house (which was written up on ma) if we can't pay it fast enough. So of course we fucking can't cause it's a huge loan and the clouds started grouping above our heads so of course we came to them. Not. A. Single. Fucking. Penny. Those fuckers that are so fucking rich it hurts didn't give us shit. We almost lost the house if there wasn't for some far relatives we found. If not for them, me, my brother, my mom, my grandma and grandpa would have lost all lost the roof above their head. And you know what's the worst part? They constantly tell us about how they get new stuff or how they went to holidays...
Since my aunt is a teacher, she has whole two months of vacation. They are mapping out Greece and other countries and the places to visit. And I love the fact we go to them for like 1 birthday per year, since the whole family has like a single month where everyone has a birthday apart from a few other people.

They tell us how they got a new TV that is the size of a horse and how they don't need the old one now so they just put it upstairs, how they went to Egypt last week and other absolute bullshit that just hurts to hear. My mom doesn't even last an hour there and I wouldn't too if it weren't for my awesome cousins. NO ONE EVEN FUCKING ACKNOWLEDGES WHAT THEY DID it's taboo as fuck in the family to even talk about what they did. They had promised to help us if my mom divorces my dad but it was a lie. About my dad: he doesn't have a gambling addiction anymore, don't worry and is working two jobs to get his part of the loan payed, he is a great dad. I believe that my aunt did that just to get rid of him from family gatherings because he is an idiot and what some could call a Czech version of a redneck but he is a good man, he just doesn't make the good first impression.
