@ghostshark I'd advise against getting a gaming laptop, as they're pretty shit.
They have these stupid flashy looks alongside hardware that's as hot as a miniature sun.
If you get a gaming laptop: get Asus. Theyre the only ones i've seen with proper laptop case cooling.
And their price is marked up massively compared to the material cost.
The consumer brands intentionally have shit heat managment in order to kill the hardware faster.
who here lives the closest to @Lord of Depression
Yeah, if you're hellbent on getting one, get an Asus.
But other than that, just build one yourself, it's not that expensive if you know what to do.
I see
Self build is the best route, yes

Jk jk
CEO material
I'll def look into it, thank you two
Or alternatively if you want a good laptop, ThinkPads aren't bad, but don't get one above the 40 series.
Also, it actually is cheaper, just not if you're going for "ALL NEW PARTSH AND RGBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB"
Lenovos high end ones are alright, but way overpriced
Trackpoint is the superior laptop input device
I just wanna play minecraft without my computer shitting itself
Simply, get a cheap Optiplex (Bonus points if it has a quad core i5 in it.), 16GB RAM, and a GPU that fits your needs. (Both optional.)
Minecraft is what you stress test high end computers on these days
Not even kidding
Literally lmao.
Lol
I can't comprehend how the fuck it requires so much CPU for just a game about blocks.
Most games barely use the CPU
Also, thing about how many object faces are in a scene
Oh right.
Way more polys on screen than something like COD
So never underestimate a 9 year old when he says "YEAH BUT CAN IT RUN MOINECWAF?"
Yeah I think I wouldn't be doing anything hardcore on it for long periods of time
If you can spare $200, or even $100, you can get a decent rig for some games.
12gb memory minimum, also wouldnt recommend lower than a 4gb gpu. Ryzen core amd cpus are solid buys still.
I see I see
Definitely.
