If anything Doom 64 is actually underrated

mainly because people thought it was just a port of the original game on the N64 judging by the name. The original name for the game was gonna be called Doom III: The Absolution

then in Wolfenstein RPG, there's the final boss, called the Harbringer of Destruction.

Blazkowicz severely wounded him, and he said that he would return to do battle with a descendant of his in the future.

The Harbringer ended up losing some limbs, and became the Cyber Demon

so i dunno if that's part of the canon, but that's how it goes
