Thanks so much, it's exactly what i needed!
Looks like i should be able to do exactly what i was thinking. Doesn't look like i need to remove the mainspring either, which is good
Since this stock doesn't have that handy hole. Thanks, Spain
I’m debating cutting the barrel down to forward of the piece of tape. 18 inches is just behind the tape in the middle of the hole. Forgot to measure over all length. I’ll need to move the sight at some point, and this girl already kicks like a mule. What do y’all think?
is it a Rem 870?
why not just get a new barrel, they're pretty cheap
It’s not. It’s a $99 dollar single shot from Walmart.
Saw that bitch off and thread in a sight
Get a machinist to do the sight if you cannot
Or leave it
I don’t know any machinists. Some of the sporting goods stores have clip on fiber optic sights I might mod on in the mean time.
Epoxy bb to top
JB weld
silver solder it
Just use one of the neon colored clear .12 gram airsoft bb's
No. Ima do it right.
>Do it right
>on a $99 single shot
Gorilla gluing a BB to the rib is about as right as it gets on those
Hack saw
I’d do it now if there was a vice in the house. Two hacksaws, no vice. Not sure where the files are so I’ll have to use the SAK for that. No emery cloth.
sit on it and hacksaw the barrel off
Alright. Fuck it.
Uh. A vice would help a lot.
Also, a file to clean it up after
There are plenty of fiber bead sights that have double stick tape.
Fuck this I’m going to get a vice and an angle grinder.
the evolution of bubba's shotgun modding
So, the barrel is off, but i have significant filing to do.
You need a vice and a file.
And work it gently.
You don't know any machinists? Okay. What you can do is contact a shop you find and they can easily thread in a post sight.
Where my Sata nigga at, I am supposed to make him some new grips
That’s also me. Ended up taking a saw to it again. Got a good cut with minimal hiccups. Filing and sanding are next.
Real shit harbor freight tap and a drill
Eh. I’d rather sand. Gives me more control. Almost finished anyway.
When you go for the new bead
Eventually.
Like I said, plenty of fiber beads that stick on with double stick tape. No need to tap. I’ve had one that’s going on 3 years of hard competition use.
JB weld
I think I’ll just go with the tape like moonrunes said.
