@RoflTank The running theory of why the Tau AI bots aren't killing everyone and everyone else's robots with AI are, is because the Tau are the only faction without a connection to the warp, which they are actually actively trying to achieve now.

Technically Tau AI is also pretty rudimentary. Drones are essentially retarded puppies that get a little smarter with a bunch of other drones nearby, whilst their AI personality stuff is just emulations of dead people

The Tau can't travel through the warp. They kinda just skip off of it. They're trying to figure out how to travel through the warp which means they'll figure out navigators and some derivative of psykers

And yeah they're basically just dogs, but that's still an intelligence that can be manipulated

The entirety of the Imperium's AI got fucking whacked, so I don't see why Tau puppy AI wouldn't

Unless GW plans to rewrite the rules on the AI being corrupted and bring back a lot of 30k Robots for AdMech armies and Detachment groups

Technically the Tau did go through the Warp, which is what happened to the fourth sphere of expansion. The ethereals were excited about this dope new superfast FTL tech, rigged up an entire fleet against the engineers wishes, and well, said fleet tore a hole in reality when it jumped to the warp

The fourth sphere survivors don't trust auxiliaries at all though, and the windows stay closed when you go through the gate
