I think that in order for an true utopia to happen the heart of man would have to change drastically

2019-01-02 18:13:04 UTC

Hitler got elected through tough times. Stalin after war.

2019-01-02 18:13:15 UTC

It's instability that breeds chaos

2019-01-02 18:13:34 UTC

From what have experienced... The heart of man is naturally evil so this is very unlikely

2019-01-02 18:13:54 UTC

Fascism is the true utopia

2019-01-02 18:14:00 UTC

I think the heart of man is shaped by his enviorment

2019-01-02 18:14:11 UTC

Like hitlers

2019-01-02 18:14:48 UTC

@Flash I agree, but by default it is evil

2019-01-02 18:15:15 UTC

I'm unsure

2019-01-02 18:15:19 UTC

oh my lord

2019-01-02 18:15:30 UTC

His dad was abusive, he was inbred, his lived in an anti-semetic city and became a megalomaniac when in power.
So I would agree the environment shapes the personality.

2019-01-02 18:15:48 UTC

Give a man anonymity and power over others and they will turn rotten to the core

2019-01-02 18:17:14 UTC

That's why governments have restrictions. Ones that would need to restrict a leaders power. To give him something to fear and grow with, not against.

2019-01-02 18:17:27 UTC

^

2019-01-02 18:17:34 UTC

This is why I'm federalist

2019-01-02 18:18:00 UTC

Capitalism was less selfish during the cold war because it wanted less communism and so it needed to be careful in the public eye.

2019-01-02 18:18:14 UTC

And this is a where the paradox lies

2019-01-02 18:19:16 UTC

Give power to a man and he will become corrupt, distribut the power amongst multiple men and they will fight

2019-01-02 18:19:23 UTC

There is no perfect balance

2019-01-02 18:19:46 UTC

@Harry C about the Roman 2 man thing

2019-01-02 18:19:53 UTC

Yes

2019-01-02 18:20:32 UTC

Remember the two Egyptian siblings this was tryed with

2019-01-02 18:20:35 UTC

Ummmm

2019-01-02 18:20:41 UTC

Let me get the name

2019-01-02 18:20:46 UTC

A boy and a girl

2019-01-02 18:21:59 UTC

Basically they ended up dividing Egypt in two and turned it into a war zone

2019-01-02 18:22:15 UTC

Eventually the girl one and ceased full power

2019-01-02 18:22:27 UTC

Cleopatra and the other guy?

2019-01-02 18:22:30 UTC

Yee

2019-01-02 18:22:49 UTC

Her brother?

2019-01-02 18:23:40 UTC

Really it was Julius Caesar that United the country. Because her brother killed his rival.

2019-01-02 18:24:09 UTC

Yes this is true but my point still stands

2019-01-02 18:24:12 UTC

And besides. That was not Roman republic.

2019-01-02 18:24:13 UTC

Congratulations, @Harry C for reaching level 2!

2019-01-02 18:24:38 UTC

No but I'm disputing the concept

2019-01-02 18:25:03 UTC

Well no. The Egyptian way was way different.

2019-01-02 18:25:05 UTC

But i ghuess we can all agree that socialism will never work

2019-01-02 18:25:07 UTC

Aye?

2019-01-02 18:25:11 UTC

Aye

2019-01-02 18:25:12 UTC

Aye

2019-01-02 18:26:20 UTC

The Roman way was a council made up of Tribunes and Patricians. Patricians represented the rich the Tribunes the poor.
