There are so many vacant houses and apartments in America, more than there are homeless people. The fact that our economic system leaves many people homeless and gives worse than prison conditions to others, rather than actual *houses* is one of the saddest things. You can't raise a ***family*** in that! You shouldn't even ***live*** like that! Mere economic reforms would do more to save tradition and race than most other things.
