solitary wolf is dope
please enlighten me, maybe this is a re-occuring civilizational idealisation.
@Happy Humble Hermit solitary wolf has some good input and content. I'd like to see that a lot.
CoachGregAdams is good too, he's also new
I like undead chronic he reminds me of guys I grew up with had they not mostly stayed blue pill
Wolf is great, Thinking-Ape has thoughtful insights
fogot all of m but for brotherl sex child family n so on
the greeks did have less technological distractions, probably why there were 7 types of definitions for love.
i think they jus reaalized love is complicated,,,,
true it s too simple of a word
for a different rainbow of meanings
its like the word nice, it doesnt mean anything in particular and varies from person to person.
i don't necessarily think that love is complicated i more think that it's the complexities of the human psyche that complicate it.
@GingerSnaps love is not complicated, the reason we struggle to define it is it barely exists in our current society
yeah that's a valid point
it does, but it s not what we define it to be
easier said than done due to the complexity of both on their own, nevermind when trying to understand them as a whole.
Pragma: a model of love as two people may demonstrate during a lengthy marriage.
They tend to select and reject partners accordingly based on what they perceive desirable, compatible traits.
*Pragmatic lovers want to find value in their partners*, and ultimately want to work with their partner to reach a common goal.
it s a chemical reaction in our brain that induces behaviours 😃
its simply based on survival and the protection of it.
To me
@Reaper lel, just looked it up online and we dont seem to have a word for this in french
Yeah, i'm with reaper on that one
oh yeah we do, but meaning seems to be different ...
@Gaarak love your ds9 nick!
like the saying goes, love is blind...but then again, my love for my son isn't blind but can induce very tough decision making processes.
@Gaarak infatuation is like the instant feeling of attraction and being drawn towards somebody without explanation
From French: the little death. *"the brief loss or weakening of consciousness" and in modern usage refers specifically to "the sensation of orgasm as likened to death.*
@Reaper but i also meant, not only passionnate love, even bro-love and the different kinds, it s all reactions in the brain, not something magical and ideal, it s biology
@Reaper i believe infatuation is more based on subconcious wants and needs being fulfilled, without the conscious mind being full aware of their need to be met.
