@Unknowncrash@°°° i still get blamed for slavery as a white male. Even though i wasn't alive back then nor did any of my ancestors own slaves. Most of them i imagine were slaves themselves at one point. I come from poor rural stock.
my dads mate who is black still goes on about slavery around his white friends. I think "shit will you stfu and stop making excuses, I didn't do it to you".

We don't have this problem much in france, I don't know that many black people but i use to have a very close black friend, slavery was just NEVER a topic
People say we stop racism, and now we don't give a crap about what the fuck their ancestors did or what they traditions tell. But we're the fucking racists
@Robin song a lot of the times they had it better in the south than as paid workers in the north. I forget the title of the book or whatever but there's huge research out there on the truth of the average slaves life. Sure many were treated cruelly but even more were treated with compassion and dignity.
