True enough, though the environmental factors around here are pretty in favor of healthy kids. Good docs, good air and water, all that good stuff. Though i suppose if it did happen Id try to find out what went wrong and where.

I have a family member that is retarded and it was always claimed he was deprived of oxygen, at birth, which possibly he also was. But he very clearly has Fragile X Syndrome and that was never mentioned.
It could be they didn't know what Fragile X Syndrome was when he was born, he's old as fuck.
