No long comments either.

Has anyone here had to deal with a cunt in the workplace? Apparently, I didn’t read my project manager on a support call for a vendor and now she’s not reading me into any meetings that I am literally required for and she shortened my deadline, which was already too short. I honestly want to quit because this will be my life for the next 6-8 months.

2018-09-27 17:23:18 UTC

Other coworkers spoke to her and she told them she’s doing this because I didn’t read her in apparently. What? The. Fuck.

2018-09-27 17:51:25 UTC

How do you guys not let the stress get to you? A lot of stress from not solving problems (engineering) plus now this political shit is really get me amped today. I guess I’ll have to unload at the gym and just go hard today. I definitely need it.

2018-09-27 18:18:44 UTC

Anyone here have an interest in quantitive development?

2018-09-27 18:20:38 UTC

Like quantum mechanics?

2018-09-27 18:26:12 UTC

No. Like quantitive trading for hedge funds. Sorry, wasn specific.

2018-09-27 19:14:01 UTC

I'm interested in quantum entanglement

2018-09-27 19:14:09 UTC

Fascinates me tbh

2018-09-27 19:20:19 UTC

The stress is killing me this days

2018-09-27 19:20:45 UTC

I can't consentrate and it angers me more

2018-09-27 21:11:50 UTC

Zodd is your Savior!! Never Forget this

2018-09-27 21:13:13 UTC

Hentai isn't a saving tool Zodd

2018-09-27 21:13:49 UTC

So I don't know what your going to save us from? @ZODD

2018-09-27 21:28:00 UTC

@EmptyEagle do not question zodd

2018-09-27 21:28:16 UTC

***zodd is the hentai deity***

2018-09-27 21:29:40 UTC

Sorry, I'm not loyal to fake deities

2018-09-27 21:35:56 UTC

Fair enough

2018-09-27 22:08:31 UTC

Would you guys invest $20-30k to get a BS and MS in a similar engineering field if you think it would increase income and be fun/challenging?

2018-09-27 22:08:48 UTC

I could do it over the next 5 years and cash flow the entire thing. My company will pay for part of it as well.

2018-09-27 22:57:51 UTC

@machtyn I'm not sure. Do you intend on designing things or becoming like a welding engineer or something, so you can write WPS and stuff?

2018-09-27 22:59:34 UTC

That's like for mechanical engineering, manufacturing, fabrication. I basically know so much as a welder and welding inspector for only $3k investment, and the only thing I can't do is design.

2018-09-27 22:59:47 UTC

I think Bowsette may be taking over the world

2018-09-27 22:59:58 UTC

What's Bowsette?

2018-09-27 23:00:14 UTC

did you watch HHH's last video?

2018-09-27 23:00:27 UTC

The Metaphysics of Bowsette

2018-09-27 23:05:45 UTC

@The Tradesman No, it's software engineering and machine learning related. Not a different field of engineering entirely. A niche, really.

2018-09-27 23:05:54 UTC

I feel like it's not necessary but I still feel pulled to do it...

2018-09-27 23:06:11 UTC

I dunno. I just feel stuck in limbo and I need to do something dramatic to challenge myself.

2018-09-27 23:06:32 UTC

If I got a BS/MS it would only be 30k total. Which in the grand scheme, is nothing.

2018-09-27 23:11:17 UTC

@Dick White Not yet.

2018-09-27 23:11:49 UTC

@machtyn What do you have now?

2018-09-27 23:12:26 UTC

A BS in Computer Information Systems. It was Computer Science but they turned it into an IT type degree with more operations mindset and I deeply regret it 😦

2018-09-27 23:13:09 UTC

I'd take a few math classes I am missing and get a BS in CS followed by an MS in CS.

2018-09-27 23:13:22 UTC

It would take 4-5 years, as I'd be working full time and cash flowing it.

2018-09-27 23:13:29 UTC

If, I go that route.

2018-09-27 23:14:02 UTC

I just feel like I wouldn't be taken seriously unless I get a BS/MS at senior levels.

2018-09-27 23:38:40 UTC

Don't IT professionals have a service record or something that is valued more than a degree?

2018-09-27 23:41:12 UTC

Well, I am switching from "IT" to "development/engineering" so no certificates matter. Only actual skills and MAYBE degrees... which is why I am on the fence.

2018-09-27 23:41:32 UTC

Tons of amazing devs/architects don't have a degree and make 300k+

2018-09-27 23:41:46 UTC

I mean, you won't know what's valued till you sit for some interviews.
