I stopped following video games 3 years ago because of the sheer lack of creativity and new ideas

and people wonder why i stick to old games

Don't get me wrong i appreciate the graphics, the immersion, the effort but when i play games i dont want to do a repetitive task over and over again and be forced to grind endlessly

I dont even pay attention to the sound design, the voice actors, i just put on the TFM show/Killstream and and listen to podcasts because i am fundamentally not invested in all elements of the video game

@The-Free-Monk you know thinking about it really though. the people who would most flip out. are the people who dont even play games anyway.

I cant play games anymore without listening to a podcast/radio show. That is how little i care about the game i play

i like doing that too. but mostly with games like dark souls 3. the type of games where you can listen to things while you play

i wouldnt listen to something while im playing starcraft for instance. because it demands attention. but i do like games where you can just have music or a podcast playing

The only games i play with my full attention are Visual Novel Story based games

or maybe something like tell tale games

i think sadly these games will always be niche and be primarily dependant on passion projects
