Problem with savings is that it is affected by inflation as well, so you have to kind of account for that as well, particularly if it's your retirement fund.

Property isn't cheap. And there is only a certain limit up to which gold is profitable, a lot of people here are way past that.

Serious question, do you think it'll ever reverse. Like how one could afford part time delivery boy job and pay for college and enjoy in 70s. Wages have been purely stagnant. Will we ever have wages increase to be have increased spending power. Or are we just headed to barely surviving unless I figure out how to work smarter rather than harder.

U are usually locked in to a contract that says you will be there for sure during that time period paying. You get out by finding a replacement. Its like a lease someone still gotta pay.

Roommate only be mad if you find a scumbag to replace yourself and he's not a good person. Like makes mess etc. Doesn't clean up after self all that.

Depending on area you have to pass a certain standard to live there like AirBNB.
