the intial 'gateway' to a posititve emotion is having desire in what you do
I could see the desire to getting something you don't want to do done
yeah exactly
Nobody does anything without a reason
Is that what you're saying?
yeah, the reason i brought this up is because i've been thinking about a fundamental truth that we all live by, "We prefer experiencing positive emotions over negative emotions." and then i asked myself "What is the common trait that all 'things' that invoke a positive emotion share?"
and i thought that trait was desire
it's simple but i'm trying to pinpoint fundamentals that i can build my life around
you can experience positive emotions while you are in pain btw 😄
as long as you have desire
***masochism much?***
yeah lol
Lmao
there would be no masochism if this was impossible 😄
is there another trait that i actually derived desire from though?
feeling inadequate?
maybe that's what pushes us forward
That's a desire to be better
but it's subconscious so we dont realise it
if you are inadequate you are unsure to do somethingfrom my experience
it's inadequacy right?
means to an end
i dont understand what you mean @Commanda Knuckel
cud u explain
if i want to be the fancy old man i always dreamt of i will see everything that allows me to become such as desirable
and anything irrelevant as inadequate
the tools you use to reach point B from point A are desirable because it allows you to move forward and accomplish something
oh okay, but what im talking about is the 'if i want' bit in your sentence - what makes u want that?
is it because u feel inadequate of where uare now?
what makes u want to go from a C to an A in math?
is it ur interest in the subject or the inadequacy u feel
and is ur interest in the subject only because u feel inadequate?
what drives evolution of ur consciousness?
i cant answer that due to mental damages that dont let me function this way :3
what do u mean?
i know when my screws are loose but here they are not even in place
u sound sane to me
ehehe 😅
as sad as it is, i can;t come to any other truth that explains the reason for why we grow
are we hard-wired with 'the grass is always greener'
