@machtyn yeah you just perfectly described how handy finance is. I think every1 should get the base of finance, because it comes in so handy! Although i think Engineers are one of (if not the most) creative people there are, i don’t fit in that kind of creative. I tend to think that Engineers are like really good painters and i suck at painting i don’t consider myself creative in that context. Apart from that like complicated structures but it just doesn’t touch me as a whole. With that being said, i didn’t choose to do medicine to help people as primary reason. I think willing to help people is the base otherwise you won’t make a good physician. I choose medicine primarily because of the fact that i’m so hungry to learn more everyday and medicine offers me that oppurtunity. Then the fact that the human body is just so damn interesting i was occupied with it when i was 12. I remember when my mates were playing video games at highschool, whilst i was looking discection video’s🤣. Can you come to voice chat? I can’t really explain what it means for me to become a dokter typing it

It's simple on the surface level, but it can go into a deep level of social game at work

@Sigma I hope it's addressed too. I personally work in a big-4 finance company within tech department and I am lucky because when people come to me its for my knowledge/help. I am a consult essentially so it's usually on point. I set boundaries early on with no personal chit-chat and always bring conversations back to the thing they wanted done.

I'll have to keep that in mind, those boundaries can save you a hell of a lot of trouble down the road

@CoffeeShopsHQ (Ardahan) I totally understand that. The exact same reason is why I didn't enter medicine. I was taking some biology/chemistry and realized there isn't really any room for creation - it's mostly recitation/absorption of the body of knowledge. I rather BUILD then analyze.

You have to consider that you are tired as shit from work that you're not really going to as much.

@machtyn i want to add to that brother, DON’T be a docter because of the money. Like every job you do for the money and not because you like it, you’ll be miserable in the end. The lifestyle of a medical specislist sucks too not your regular 9 to 5, i know this, but i’m willing to proceed anyways. Honestly i don’t see me doing something else

I'm not here to only work and sleep, I got other ambitions to chase as well

@Sigma I've been trying something a little odd... I've been going to bed at 8-9pm and waking up at 4-5am. I work on projects until 8-9am, go to work, get home at 4-5pm then chill until i go to bed -- sometimes being productive but usually goofing off.

Dude, I've woken up at like 2-3AM before work to do things like read, play games, youtube, go to the gym, BUT my major problem is that MMA is at 7:30 PM at night, so it's nearly impossible to get there because of work in the morning and absolutely no energy

@CoffeeShopsHQ (Ardahan) Yes! I plan on advancing until senior engineer but once they start asking me to become management - I will bounce to work as a consultant - making bank.

I can't sleep when I workout 5-8pm.

I love morning workouts

I'm hooked on martial arts though, it's my favorite physical hobby

@machtyn when you visit The Netherlands, don’t go to Amsterdam. For buildings and structures you should go to Rotterdam. They call it the Dutch Manhattan. You’ll adore it as engineer

@CoffeeShopsHQ (Ardahan) Oh wow, I actually have a friend - network engineer - who just married a woman from the netherlands. I never understood why she would leave. It seems like a wonderful country.

@Sigma I'm very basic in greco-roman wrestling/bjj/boxing so I understand it. I personally am a cheap bastard so $100-200/mo isn't worth it for me. I rather just be in good shape, able to handle a pistol/shotgun/rifle/knife and basic MMA principles.

I have no intention of competing yet. Once I have $300k invested, I will give myself a break to splurge a bit.
