@GingerSnaps meat has complete vitamin b complexes, veggies and fruit have incomplete b complexes. This is why vegans have to get b 12 injections.

I'm the only one in my circle that gives a fuck about what goes into my body. I have a weight lifting obsessed friend but he's a blue-pilled pot bellied lout and brute. @Null i take a solid multivitamin for all of that.

2018-11-27 00:07:43 UTC

@GingerSnaps ideally you should eat about 50% of your protein in lean meats and the other half from veggies to get fiber and other vitamins.

2018-11-27 00:08:17 UTC

@GingerSnaps supplements never beat diet.

2018-11-27 00:08:47 UTC

@Null i'm sure but it's better than nothing.

2018-11-27 00:09:20 UTC

@machtyn Grass Fed Beef Liver. I never had but started eating after looking into carnivore diet. This thing is ridiculous.

2018-11-27 00:09:50 UTC

@GingerSnaps That’s good you’re focused on health. It’s important! All my workout friends are Vegan lol.

2018-11-27 00:10:41 UTC

@Madhawk1995 yup! I’ll be eating beef fat, butter, eggs, fatty steaks and liver/kidney from a local farm.

2018-11-27 00:10:49 UTC

I’ll be eating some raw as well.

2018-11-27 00:10:52 UTC

@machtyn but why though vegans are depriving themselves of valuable vitamins and minerals by avoiding animal products

2018-11-27 00:12:01 UTC

@Null I agree but some people do really well on the vegan diet. I encourage personal experimentation. I personally always felt mentally tired and physically weak but I definitely felt better in a lot of ways too.

2018-11-27 00:15:03 UTC

When I started researching how plants protect themselves and essentially poison us, I started questioning the way I was eating.

2018-11-27 00:15:04 UTC

I did vegan for 1 month, paleo for about 1.5 years and in general vegetarian because I barely ate meat growing up just chicken occasionally. I notice a big difference by eating red meat. Idk if it because I never had it growing up literally ate my first burger at 16 and gave me so much energy the next day at XC practice. Vegan is cool cuz of the whole save animal thing. It is a good cause but when I was on it I felt like i was slowly dying because I was depriving myself of nutrients. I am one of those skinny kunts that would struggle to put on weight because I would eat shit and not gain. I eat meat to feel nourished. I am putting on mass without trying. Not all calories are the same. Shits a myth. If your body cant absorb its a waste of time energy and money. So far, I have been doing this for a solid month and I am very satisfied with how I feel. Literally different person by just upping meat intake.

2018-11-27 00:17:08 UTC

@Madhawk1995 Good! I’m glad you discovered that. I found the same. Plants don’t want to be eaten and commit chemical warfare. Animals that are killed lost that battle so there isn’t the same risk. Now, factory farming is fucked. I want to buy a shit load of land and just raise animals. No stripping the top soil to feed them. Simply let them live.

2018-11-27 00:17:56 UTC

Factory farming isn’t good for us or for the animals. The real issue is the government subsidizing grains over animals.

2018-11-27 00:18:40 UTC

On a tangentiative note are there any Gojira fans in the room?

2018-11-27 00:19:48 UTC

@machtyn any links on the chemical warfare? sounds interesting.

2018-11-27 00:23:45 UTC

@MufflePuff jalapenos are a great example. The spicy flavor is off putting preventing animals from eating them..... until we came along

2018-11-27 00:24:38 UTC

How does it relate to humans?

2018-11-27 00:24:55 UTC

Chemical warfare sounds like it does damage eating it.

2018-11-27 00:25:29 UTC

@Madhawk1995 Asians are incorporating more red meat and they have noticed increase in stature and overall musculature. Not all protein and vitamins are created equal.

2018-11-27 00:27:36 UTC

@MufflePuff Well there is all the pesticides and GMO's for one. Although a lot of those pesticides can be washed off and are supposed to have tiny half-lives.

2018-11-27 00:27:58 UTC

right.

2018-11-27 00:28:42 UTC

@MufflePuff due to selective pressures (animals and insects) plants that live pass on their genes. Adaptations help those plants survive, those adaptations get stronger. Chemical reactions with HCI (stomach acid) would prevent others from eating more of it because it either kills them or makes the offender extremely weak

2018-11-27 00:29:20 UTC

@MufflePuff Yeah Amber Ohearn is decent but there are a bunch that discuss it. I can try to find it.

2018-11-27 00:29:48 UTC

@Null so eating plants makes your stomach weak?

2018-11-27 00:30:12 UTC

@machtyn can you PM me a link? I'm curious about the research myself.

2018-11-27 00:30:55 UTC

@MufflePuff certain plants, some plants want to be eaten to spread their seeds (fruit).

2018-11-27 00:31:21 UTC

Ok

2018-11-27 00:32:14 UTC

Lectins are the main issue.

2018-11-27 00:32:35 UTC

Sounds familiar, what's the issue with them?

2018-11-27 00:32:51 UTC

The vegetarian myth goes into it as well. Ironically, the author of the vegetarian myth is a radical feminist lol.

2018-11-27 00:33:09 UTC

lol

2018-11-27 00:33:58 UTC

They’re literally anti-nutrients blocking absorption of nutrients we need.

2018-11-27 00:34:23 UTC

My research concluded that a vegetarian/vegan diet is good to cleanse the body, but not optimal long-term. That it should be used in conjunction with a regular meat diet.

2018-11-27 00:34:37 UTC

Like in moderation.

2018-11-27 00:34:50 UTC

Look at our guts compared to all other animals - they’re tiny compared to other apes. Apes spend all day eating whereas humans don’t need much. Our stomachs can digest raw meat within an hour whereas vegetables will take much longer.

2018-11-27 00:35:16 UTC

Yeah I think I'd heard that as well.

2018-11-27 00:44:57 UTC

I cant be a vegan

2018-11-27 00:45:11 UTC

Meat. Is too delicious

2018-11-27 00:45:45 UTC

Exactly, Kazemaru
