I only really started going outside regularly after my depression got really bad.

2019-09-03 04:39:07 UTC

Which is probably the opposite to most people with depression, now that I think about it.

2019-09-03 04:40:19 UTC

Staying inside all the time works great until one day it doesn't.

2019-09-03 04:40:44 UTC

The longer you put it off, the worse that eventual outside-ness is gonna be.

2019-09-03 04:41:02 UTC

i mean its already pretty bad

2019-09-03 04:41:04 UTC

Plus I find that going outside regularly can help me relax.

2019-09-03 04:41:16 UTC

wtf, thats relaxing to you??

2019-09-03 04:41:27 UTC

My terrible allergies went away after like 2 weeks of going outside every day.

2019-09-03 04:41:42 UTC

Nowadays I barely even get sick anymore.

2019-09-03 04:41:44 UTC

N

2019-09-03 04:41:59 UTC

Yeah, putting on some music and just walking in the woods is really peaceful.

2019-09-03 04:42:41 UTC

oh well sure, i would like to walk around in the woods, but i live in the middle of a city, and rarely go to either of my family farms

2019-09-03 04:43:36 UTC

Then walk around the city. I moved to a place not far from Seattle last week and I still find time to get outside.

2019-09-03 04:44:03 UTC

Surely there's a park or something nearby.

2019-09-03 04:45:19 UTC

whoa there, stop poking holes in my reasons not to go outside

2019-09-03 04:45:33 UTC

No.

2019-09-03 04:45:48 UTC

damn dude

2019-09-03 04:45:59 UTC

People who really go out of their way to stay inside get fucked up over time. I've seen it happen firsthand. I don't want to see it happen again.

2019-09-03 04:47:08 UTC

depending on your definition of fucked up, i may already be lmao <:Thonk:512151852955992064>

2019-09-03 04:47:56 UTC

I've been in entire communities of people who have become so reclusive that they literally cannot go outside anymore due to the extreme anxieties about it they've developed.

2019-09-03 04:48:45 UTC

Most of the time they're beyond saving once they get to that point.

2019-09-03 04:49:41 UTC

well damn, i aint that bad. in fact i actually did go outside today. walked to my aunts and back to visit with her and my grandma

2019-09-03 04:50:03 UTC

That's good. I'm no psychic, but you seem like you're still pretty young.

2019-09-03 04:50:18 UTC

Even just going outside 20-30 minutes a day is really good for you.

2019-09-03 04:50:55 UTC

He is right

2019-09-03 04:50:55 UTC

well, turning 21 in november, dont know if thats young relative to you or not <:Thonk:512151852955992064>

2019-09-03 04:51:04 UTC

We as people are far too disconnected from this planet

2019-09-03 04:51:16 UTC

Going outside and being with nature is a good way to get back in touch

2019-09-03 04:51:32 UTC

I have sort of a toxic relationship with the outdoors, myself.

2019-09-03 04:51:38 UTC

I enjoy it

2019-09-03 04:51:44 UTC

I enjoy it too much.

2019-09-03 04:51:48 UTC

When I was very young I lived almost completely off the grid

2019-09-03 04:51:55 UTC

idk man, i really liek gluing myself to technology for 15 hours a day or so

2019-09-03 04:51:57 UTC

The only thing we had was a phone line

2019-09-03 04:52:03 UTC

Technology no bruno

2019-09-03 04:52:04 UTC

I cause a lot of problems for myself and now that I live in the city I've been getting pretty stressed.

2019-09-03 04:52:13 UTC

Cities are bad

2019-09-03 04:52:16 UTC

Too many people

2019-09-03 04:52:18 UTC

Too urban

2019-09-03 04:52:25 UTC

Yeah. Nothing ever stops here.

2019-09-03 04:52:38 UTC

I used to be able to get on my bike and be somewhere silent in 20 minutes.
