If we can't draw a line, then we'll have to make geographic borders, TO THE SEA!!
We can be an island nation if we try hard enough
@Medeyer other way around buddy
so your saying we take over canada?
Well that's easy, half of them are French so they'll just surrender. And they're all Canadian, so they'll just hand it over when we ask to be polite
Only if we get to make the entire country wear blackface and eat watermelons.
Why would anyone want Mexico <:disgusteng:595338918044500041>?
Tourism industry, if it wasn't overrun by cartels Mexico would have a decent economy just from people visiting
personally im an atheist cause I think god is bullshit but I can also see that western civilization was build on morals from christianity and hellenic cultures so i think we should also preserve those
Have you ever thought that maybe those morals worked because they are true?
They at least function as if true. Which is true enough for the average person
those morals work because they give a good foundation for a succesful civilization that doesnt make it true tho or the only way china has a compltely different religious system and they still founded a succesful civilization
Is it as successful as ours?
Japan was built on Buddhism. China was built on Confucianism and Taoism. India was built on Hinduism.
Religions that place value in the individual
@Medeyer I'm pretty sure Japan's native religion is shintoism
Yeah, old Japan was built around Shintoism
But in more modern history, Buddhism is more prominent
Personally, I hope Christianity becomes more prominent in Japan.
It's already pretty prominent
But the Japanese approach towards religion is different, as a culture they grow up being taught religion in the same way as Grimm fairy tales. Life lesson parables you're supposed to learn from. Not the literal word of God
The abrahamics need to leave those nice Japanese people alone lol
That thing about zoomers being more conservative than millennials?
> A poll seen exclusively by The Independent found one in four 18- to 24-year-olds thought LGBT+ people were “immoral” or that homosexuality contravened their beliefs, compared to one in five across all age groups.

They are though.
Gay men have more sexual partners than straight men
I blame the LGBTQIAEIEIOABC123 for this one. Attacking anyone not under their alphabet umbrella, especially straight men, and conflating gender with sexuality. Then pushing for Trans issues that most trans people don't care about. And living under the constant fear that having the wrong opinion could destroy your life.
No wonder why 18 - 24 yo fear the LGBT. Instead of promoting inclusivity among members and non-members, it's become a modern day McCarthyism.
It's more about the tranny activists and BDSM mob. If you actually look at the gay community, they've pretty much gone quiet since gay marriage has been introduced in multiple countries around the world. Now they just need to stop having unprotected sex with an unprecedented amount of people.
That's good advice for everyone. Don't stick your dick in crazy and wrap it up.
Don't stick it in her ring till you give her a ring?
Bad advice, that could get you tied down to crazy
The sad thing is the activists are power-hungry authoritarians and their actions may lead to backlash against everyone else from their "community" (I hate that word here, it's a lie. Not only are they not a monolith, each letter hates the others.)
Then again, a lot of that movement was built on lies. Anything that can be destroyed by the truth must, and deserves to be, destroyed. People deserve better than soft lies.
Everyone's an activist
How dare you accuse me of being active <:angrypepe:497157904743268363>
The unemployed are more likely to be activists. Normally, that make sense, but considering how well most economies are doing in the western world, it's just people trying to be relevant.

an interesting take, imo
But muh climate change
Also, why would you do away with plastic all together? Heavy plastics by far is one of the most useful products we can use and is vastly more efficient energy wise than making things out of steel.
because "plastic bad"?
I don't know, but personally I don't see litter getting all that much out of controll in the US.
It's more practical to research effective and efficient recycling methods, since plastics are very easy to repurpose, it's worth the effort to invest in recovery instead of abandoning an entire resource without a suitable replacement
The only problem you face with recycling is lazy people. It's just oh so hard to put that plastic bottle in the other bin for those types.
