But in more modern history, Buddhism is more prominent

2020-01-09 14:28:10 UTC

Personally, I hope Christianity becomes more prominent in Japan.

2020-01-09 14:45:04 UTC

It's already pretty prominent

2020-01-09 14:46:54 UTC

But the Japanese approach towards religion is different, as a culture they grow up being taught religion in the same way as Grimm fairy tales. Life lesson parables you're supposed to learn from. Not the literal word of God

2020-01-09 18:35:45 UTC

The abrahamics need to leave those nice Japanese people alone lol

That thing about zoomers being more conservative than millennials?
> A poll seen exclusively by The Independent found one in four 18- to 24-year-olds thought LGBT+ people were “immoral” or that homosexuality contravened their beliefs, compared to one in five across all age groups.

2020-01-09 23:54:57 UTC

They are though.

2020-01-09 23:56:37 UTC

Gay men have more sexual partners than straight men

2020-01-10 00:36:54 UTC

I blame the LGBTQIAEIEIOABC123 for this one. Attacking anyone not under their alphabet umbrella, especially straight men, and conflating gender with sexuality. Then pushing for Trans issues that most trans people don't care about. And living under the constant fear that having the wrong opinion could destroy your life.

No wonder why 18 - 24 yo fear the LGBT. Instead of promoting inclusivity among members and non-members, it's become a modern day McCarthyism.

2020-01-10 01:18:40 UTC

It's more about the tranny activists and BDSM mob. If you actually look at the gay community, they've pretty much gone quiet since gay marriage has been introduced in multiple countries around the world. Now they just need to stop having unprotected sex with an unprecedented amount of people.

2020-01-10 01:46:23 UTC

That's good advice for everyone. Don't stick your dick in crazy and wrap it up.

2020-01-10 01:56:39 UTC

Don't stick it in her ring till you give her a ring?

2020-01-10 02:17:29 UTC

Bad advice, that could get you tied down to crazy

2020-01-10 17:48:45 UTC

The sad thing is the activists are power-hungry authoritarians and their actions may lead to backlash against everyone else from their "community" (I hate that word here, it's a lie. Not only are they not a monolith, each letter hates the others.)

2020-01-11 00:16:23 UTC

Then again, a lot of that movement was built on lies. Anything that can be destroyed by the truth must, and deserves to be, destroyed. People deserve better than soft lies.

2020-01-11 09:23:01 UTC

Everyone's an activist

2020-01-11 09:23:50 UTC

How dare you accuse me of being active <:angrypepe:497157904743268363>

2020-01-11 09:28:50 UTC

The unemployed are more likely to be activists. Normally, that make sense, but considering how well most economies are doing in the western world, it's just people trying to be relevant.

2020-01-11 22:21:57 UTC

But muh climate change

2020-01-11 22:24:11 UTC

Also, why would you do away with plastic all together? Heavy plastics by far is one of the most useful products we can use and is vastly more efficient energy wise than making things out of steel.

2020-01-12 03:58:16 UTC

because "plastic bad"?
I don't know, but personally I don't see litter getting all that much out of controll in the US.

2020-01-12 04:20:47 UTC

It's more practical to research effective and efficient recycling methods, since plastics are very easy to repurpose, it's worth the effort to invest in recovery instead of abandoning an entire resource without a suitable replacement

2020-01-12 05:12:33 UTC

The only problem you face with recycling is lazy people. It's just oh so hard to put that plastic bottle in the other bin for those types.

2020-01-12 05:25:35 UTC

That's why focusing on recovery funding is best, like that kid that made a robot or something to collect the Pacific garbage patch for recycling

2020-01-12 10:24:10 UTC

some of the the un agenda 21 commies trying to take control of the world https://futureearth.org/about/partners/

2020-01-12 10:28:54 UTC

Again?

2020-01-12 10:31:24 UTC

Good Lord, they're literally describing themselves as moral busybodies that expect you to pay to follow their rules and pay if you don't

2020-01-12 10:32:26 UTC

Unironically nothing more than a global HOA at this point

2020-01-12 16:49:44 UTC

Is Agenda 21 a means of creating a global government?

2020-01-12 22:09:16 UTC

Why would you want a global governent to begin with?

2020-01-12 22:46:18 UTC

@Medeyer So stupid and backward countries like mine can get some money, resources, technology, opportunities and help to clean our sh*ts up from more developed countries like yours. 😋

2020-01-12 22:47:34 UTC

I mean if we weren't under global government you guys in the West would never care spending much energy, time and resources helping little sh*tholes all around the world.

2020-01-12 22:48:36 UTC

But if there is one Global government above you all FORCING you to do it, then, you must like it or not!

2020-01-12 22:49:59 UTC

The burden of the empire I guess.

Imposing the lack of restrictions...
There's a way to destroy innovation.

The beauty of a nation is that it has set limitations to overcome; X amount of land, resources, people, etc. It is within those limitations that we see innovation. If a country has only a small amount of arable land, you can be damn sure the farmers, horticulturalists and botanists will work to find the most efficient way to maximise their agricultural output.

2020-01-13 08:48:14 UTC

It's like that Micro Mages game where they tried to make the best NES game they could with the base cartridge. 40kb of data, no batteries or expansions.
