So the US embassy was attacked a few days. Iraq is still a shithole and isn't a true democracy. Spontanious protests outside of embassy's do not happen, and only occur if the Government organizes one, or allows one to be organized.
The protest group in question, protesting against the initial US strike were not Iraqi native, but a group supported by Irans Revolutionary Guard.

Or just accuse Iran of orchestrating the attacks on their embassy, and declare that this would have been an act of war upon the united states etc etc... but they killed those responsible, therefore avenged.

I was thinking the same I see a lot of fearmongering and anger from comments on this attack and doing a bit of digging if what I read is to believed Iran likely lied about having no military presence in Irak,may have instigated the attack on the US ambassy in Baghdad and theirs the question why an Iran general went to Irak. A lot of things are happening behind closed doors which makes judging this attack impulsive at best.
