^ Agreed. You should have an opt-out on social security.

2019-12-07 07:50:05 UTC

The Private Wait Times are based on the Size of your Wallet

2019-12-07 07:50:12 UTC

However, because the system is a national social program, it would destablize it completely.

2019-12-07 07:50:12 UTC

Public Wait times are on Need

2019-12-07 07:50:12 UTC

Is not wealth transfers from the young to the old a form of misrepresentation?

2019-12-07 07:50:24 UTC

"Need"

2019-12-07 07:50:28 UTC

Christ

2019-12-07 07:50:30 UTC

NO

2019-12-07 07:50:32 UTC

Also, when you say "private healthcare"

2019-12-07 07:50:48 UTC

Some rich guy with Stomach Aches in the US is higher priority than someone with a Stage 4 Cancer in the American System

2019-12-07 07:50:49 UTC

In a Universal System, the wait times regard Priority. Someone with Cancer or who just suffered a Heart Attack, of course, is higher priority than you, who might be in for a minor fever. The higher priority niggas get almost instantaneous care while those who are lower priority might have to wait a little longer.

2019-12-07 07:50:54 UTC

Nothing exists in a vacuum

2019-12-07 07:51:04 UTC

Healthcare is a service. You have price, quality, or quantity - and you only get to pick 2.

2019-12-07 07:51:06 UTC

Which do you want?

2019-12-07 07:51:13 UTC

*economics*

2019-12-07 07:51:31 UTC

You can't get everything you want, there's only bad and worse.

2019-12-07 07:51:45 UTC

You're referring to a system similar to the organ donor list - which has demonstrated fatal consequences.

2019-12-07 07:52:20 UTC

I refuse to allow the govt - an agency that have demonstrated countless failures in basic financial management - to have oversight on the quality and availability of my healthcare.

2019-12-07 07:52:55 UTC

The quality of services would plummet. 2 Millions private healthcare jobs lost. Suddenly the budget can't keep up with demand as it's not an established system.

2019-12-07 07:53:16 UTC

There's a reason M4A is rejected by the majority of Americans. We do not need an American NHS.

2019-12-07 07:54:39 UTC

It's same old, same old. Government subsidizes and alters the market to the point where conditions become insufferable and they offer a government solution which makes the problem worse.

2019-12-07 07:54:47 UTC

Because *people will never understand economics*

2019-12-07 07:56:07 UTC

guy ran off

2019-12-07 07:56:15 UTC

guess we can start jerking each other off now

2019-12-07 11:27:11 UTC

In socialized healthcare you get the worst of prices, quality and quantity

2019-12-07 11:30:47 UTC

Zero competition and government oversight breeds nothing but incompetence, corruption and a never ending black hole of waste.

2019-12-07 12:20:19 UTC

the doctors here try to push you out the door as soon as possible, they claim the same $$ from the government either way, they don't seem to have any real interest in the health of the patient

2019-12-07 12:22:55 UTC

You must be in Australia

2019-12-07 12:47:35 UTC

That is untrue

2019-12-07 12:47:48 UTC

You're literally only looking at the NHS

2019-12-07 12:47:55 UTC

There are other systems too

2019-12-07 12:49:03 UTC

Such as the French/German System (regarded as the Best in the World) in which Private Health Care Companies still exist but the way you pay for said insurance is with Taxes

2019-12-07 12:49:26 UTC

Multi/Single-Payer Systems are Objectively better than the Private System

2019-12-07 12:50:02 UTC

You really think the Private Oligopoly Competes in the US? There's like 12 Health Care Companies and they're all in the same Big Club

2019-12-07 12:50:28 UTC

As a result, Health Care costs in the US are the HIGHEST in the Entire World (let alone the Developed World)

2019-12-07 12:52:15 UTC

There are some things that just should be off the Table from the Private Sector; ya wouldn't want to have Private Policemen or Firefighters, now would you?

2019-12-07 12:59:06 UTC

"Help! My House is Burning Down!"
"That'll be $30,000"
"I c-can't afford that"
"Welp, pack up boys. There's nothing we can do ab it now"

2019-12-07 12:59:24 UTC

i'm surprised that state run healthcare services in liberal countries run as well as they do considering there's usually a party who tries to undermine them whenever they get in government

2019-12-07 13:01:01 UTC

@Death in June Because things like Universal Health Care are something everyone benefits off of; extremely popular services, to the people. Thus, if the Right Winged Party even tries touching the Health Care System, it's seen as Political Suicide

2019-12-07 13:02:24 UTC

well sure but at the same time they try to undermine it indirectly

2019-12-07 13:02:44 UTC

obviously they can't come out and say "we're gonna get rid of it" but they try to sabotage it to hurt its popularity
