Democrats will lose unless they nominate Sanders
And that will never happen, under the Establishment's watch qq
Like the Dems have ONE Chance to save themselves
And that's nominate the Populist
Bernie or Bust
Yep
The Genocide in Yemen
All cuz Trump is too busy taking Saudi dick
Bc if he opposes the the Saudi Arabians, they can easily fuck up the Petrodollar, thus crippling the US Economy
"The Booty Judge has a better shot than (objectively) he Most Popular Politician in the Country"
Bernie has not said a single thing on decriminalising illegal immigration
In fact, for a Progressive, he's very strong on Borders
@Mersenne It's Still Illegal. Turning Illegal Immigration from a Felony to a Civil offense still puts the Illegals in Jail; it just stops the family separation
ICE should be abolished, lol
Customs and Border protection is all we need
ICE is Unconstitutional; many courts have ruled that they have repeatedly broken the 4th (Surveillance), 5th (Due Process), 13th (Slavery), and 14th (Due Process Equality) Amendments of the United States Constitution
Hell, they were only created in 2003 by the Bush Administration too
They have absolutely no reason to exist and are already a mess of unconstitutional actions
Just let Customs and Border Protection take all the stuff, like they used to
ICE is so unnecessary that the majority of it is made up of Private Militias and Mercenaries, anyways
The majority of people detained are done so without a fair trial and are forcefully detained (which is a situation just waiting to be abused, lol)
Yeah, I agree
Though I think we should go further with Immigration reform
And I think the first thing to do is to Decriminalise All Drugs and Legalise Marijuana
That will absolutely fuck up the Cartels
And Big Pharma
I didn't say legalise; I said decriminalise, lol. There are some drugs that would reap havoc if legalised (like Fentanyl) which is why decriminalising would just turn it from a Criminal issue to a Health Issue
People are gonna do drugs, regardless, so it's better to mediate the issue by giving them safe monitored areas where they can inject themselves; thus bringing overdoses to near 0 and will absolutely cripple the Cartels who currently profit off of them
That too
The Cartels rn have a Monopoly. Which is why we should Legalise, Tax, and Regulate most Drugs
Decriminalise the rest
Well, only Bernie has been pushing for M4A; but it's actually ridiculously easy to argue for a Single/Multi-Payer System since we have examples of it being a benefit in every other Country (besides the UK tho the NHS used to be the Best Health Care System before Tony Blair and David Cameron raped it to death)
I feel like Warren fucked up by having a Public Option be her first priority before M4A.
Cuz ever since she mentioned that, she's been tanking in the polls
And now the Booty Judge (Democrat's Marco Rubio) is rising up for some reason
Really, anyone other than Bernie (and maybe Warren) will lose to Trump
The Booty Judge is very establishment. He's really cringey, actually. Like he acts like a politician from the 1990s.
I feel like him debating Trump would be full of platitudes and Clichรฉs; Trump would probably roast the shit out of him
Eh, Biden is Tanking rn
Mainly due to his senility
Impeachment was one of the dumbest moves I've ever seen the dems make tbbh
Bc all it will do is help Trump
Oh I can just see the Headlines already once the Impeachment dies in the Senate
"Teflon Don Evades Impeachment"
Trump's approval rating soaring through the roof like with Teflon Bill when he evaded Impeachment
True dat
Especially since the Impeachment is on Trump investigating Biden for being Corrupt
So all that will happen is Joe Biden will be exposed for being corrupt
True dat
In the end, all this Election is, really, is "Who can Win the Rust Belt?"
All the candidates gotta do is hold onto their 2016 Seats and win the Rust Belt
That's where Bernie comes in because that guy is EXTREMELY Popular in the Rust Belt, lol (Ik first hand too cuz I live there). That area was crippled by Bill Clinton with NAFTA and Trump Campaigned on getting people their Jobs back (while Hillary was Bill's Husband).
Now Trump has done none of that
But people here hate the Dems more bc at least Trump has the rhetoric of a Populist
But that's where Bernie comes in because to most ppl here, he's a genuine populist
People in the Rust Belt have more confidence in someone like Bernie than Trump
Hence why I say that it really is Bernie or Bust
Liz Warren is only slightly more popular than Trump here (she might barely beat him)
But Bernie would wipe the floor with the Rust Belt
Everyone else, including the Booty Judge, is actually unpopular here since they just seem Establishment and representing the "Status Quo"
When you really get down to it, the 2020 Election will be a referendum on "Populism Vs. Establishment"
One thing that I've noticed is that, the major Reforms Bernie, in particular, pushes are actually the Economic Policy of the Golden Age of Capitalism (1950s). An Economy Heavily Regulated and Taxed amongst Large Corporations and the Rich, but extremely unregulated and very low taxes on your average person
Like IIRC, the Lower Class paid 5% in Taxes, the Middle Class paid 10%, the Upper Middle Class and Lower High Class paid 15%, and the Upper High Class paid 70% of the Taxes
I mean, deregulating average people would be pretty ideal
The Rich, atm, pay less in taxes than your average Joe, lol
Mainly bc of Capital Gains
Bernie used to call himself a "Civil Libertarian" for a long time, so it makes sense for why he'd want to adopt such a policy
Make life more free for your average person, trickling up the economy, at the same time
Yep
Ye
It is pretty funny tho. The Republicans, since Reagan, have been working to Return to the 1920s (a time notorious for corruption, starting of in a huge boom and ending in a huge bust), while Bernie wants a return to the 1950s (the most prosperous time in Human History)
Democrats and Republicans are virtually the same Party Atm; just appealing to different Demographics
Democrats are Centrist Republicans, basically
That is the essence of the Two Party System in most countries
Correction: The Establishment Democrats and the General Republican Party
Rn the Dems are like the Old Whig Party. They have no real identity and are just allied on a hatred for the other Party's Leader
Back in the 1830s, the Dems elected a guy named Andrew Jackson (who was a complete Lunatic). He was such a controversial President that a new Party was formed called the "Whig Party", which was a party full of people who were ideologically all over the place but united by their hatred for Andrew Jackson (they actually managed to get 4 presidents elected too)
*Many Whig members eventually branched off to form a new Party called the "Free Soil Party" (a One-Issue party on the topic of Abolitionism), which eventually became the Republican Party, electing their own President named Abraham Lincoln in 1860*
Now, the Dems are basically like the Old Whigs rn. They have no ideology. They have people all over the place; many centrist, conservative, libertarian, progressive, neo-con, and neo-lib Demograts
They're only allied on "Orange Man Bad"
Just like the Old Whig Party, lol
Yeah
I can see Bernie winning and Warren barely winning
It's just a game of who can win the Rust Belt
And Bernie has that in the Bag but Warren...not so much
Ye
Funny enough, the US had a Progressive Party once
Made by the Father of Progressivism, himself, Teddy Roosevelt
It was actually the most successful Third Party in US History
Unfortunately, he split the Vote with Taft and gave Woodrow Wilson a Landslide Victory
The Electoral College was always meant to be Temporary
In Fact, the Founders intended it to be replaced with Direct Democracy
But the EC Favoured Land Owners and no way Land Owners were gonna share the vote with the Peasants
They hated Direct Democracy as a System of Gov't
Not as a Voting Method
We're talking about electing a person
Not running a country
You look at mayors and district congressmen and senators
They're voted in with Direct Democracy
