I think you are mixing up alot of ideologies right now. (brue)

2019-12-09 23:26:32 UTC

People should have to perform some kind of difficult public service (doesnt have to be military) before they are allowed to vote or hold office to prove that they can put the needs of society over their own wants and agendas

2019-12-09 23:26:37 UTC

anarchocapitalism allows for monarchy, go read hoppe if you are interested

2019-12-09 23:26:55 UTC

Thats what I said @TheGhostAgent

2019-12-09 23:27:02 UTC

monarachy is nothing more than consolidated private property, all the people are my property, all of it is enforced through violence and threat

2019-12-09 23:28:06 UTC

its is the truest form of anarcho capitalism, because it is the indivudal that then acts in his own interest against other states in an anarchical foreign policy game

2019-12-09 23:28:09 UTC

capitalism was a term made up my marx if i remember right.
to us now it just means "free market"
and all "free market" means is "the the government doesn't mess with the market"
so you are free to buy, sell and trade and it's only between you and the person you are dealing with right now.

2019-12-09 23:29:00 UTC

@Tiberius And what will this test/standard be? Who will be setting said standards? That is asking for abuse of power when a group of ppl can set standards of who can or cannot vote.

2019-12-09 23:29:01 UTC

capitalism is a term which describes the private ownership of capital and property

2019-12-09 23:29:14 UTC

free market isn't even a form of government, it's a state of government (like a state of matter)

2019-12-09 23:29:39 UTC

that's why i said that it was a word made up by marx.

2019-12-09 23:29:55 UTC

the free market was argued by adam smith in his wealth of nations

2019-12-09 23:30:08 UTC

`Capitalism is an economic system based on the private ownership of the means of production and their operation for profit`

2019-12-09 23:30:13 UTC

because "private property" is a better descriptor for itself then "capitalism" is

2019-12-09 23:30:17 UTC

monarchy is capitalism

2019-12-09 23:30:27 UTC

they own all the stuff in thier property

2019-12-09 23:30:36 UTC

it is a form of anarchocapitalism

2019-12-09 23:30:38 UTC

it is natural

2019-12-09 23:30:51 UTC

you are mixing up a bunch of things such that you words are now meaningless.

2019-12-09 23:31:49 UTC

the state is a public entity, the monarch is a private entity

2019-12-09 23:31:56 UTC

There is no test or standard, you complete your two year term (or longer if the service requires) could be military service, firefighting, EMS, Law Enforcement, Truck driving, Sewage maintenance, infrastructure, Lineman work, etc. Anything that requires personal sacrifice for the betterment of society.

2019-12-09 23:32:01 UTC

the government under a monarch is a private entity

2019-12-09 23:32:09 UTC

not a public one like america

2019-12-09 23:32:26 UTC

"private property" and "free market" are parts of each other, if I own a thing then i can sell it to whomever I please at whatever price I please. (assuming the buyer agrees on the price)
This includes my own time and labor.

2019-12-09 23:33:15 UTC

The government would be small, efficient, and have very little to do with the life private civillian

2019-12-09 23:33:40 UTC

and as i said before, "private property and free market" are a state if government, not a type of government.
though there are governments that are incapable of allowing the system to exist.

2019-12-09 23:33:55 UTC

Seriously take a walk in Los Amgeles or San Francisco and come back and argue universal suffrage with me.

2019-12-09 23:34:03 UTC

Which raises the Q of who will be setting the time allotment for each profession? And under what standards will we be using? If we're aiming to have smaller govt, I think it is far more efficient to have a smaller govt via limiting its powers vs limiting the kind of voters or having a voting test

2019-12-09 23:34:35 UTC

Having freedoms also implies having the freedom to fucking up

2019-12-09 23:34:45 UTC

Freedom does not guarantee the best results

2019-12-09 23:34:57 UTC

"Having freedoms also implies having the freedom to fucking up"
this, all of this.

2019-12-09 23:35:00 UTC

Not just limiting the kind of voters

2019-12-09 23:35:03 UTC

anarcho capitalism allows for monarchisim because it is a form of private ownership

2019-12-09 23:35:13 UTC

all ancaps understand this

2019-12-09 23:35:18 UTC

read some hoppe

2019-12-09 23:35:21 UTC

Brue you are makeing things up now.

2019-12-09 23:35:22 UTC

Limiting the kind of people who can hold office

2019-12-09 23:35:24 UTC

<:ancap_ball:636787271466483712>

2019-12-09 23:35:28 UTC

If all we're allowed to do and choose in our lives are optimum choices, from being healthy and never drinking, smoking, and only eating broccoli n kale. Is that freedom and a life worth living?

2019-12-09 23:35:43 UTC

I can see where you logic chain is going, but it is not attached to anything. (brue)

2019-12-09 23:35:47 UTC

I never argued for that
