We send billions in foreign aid to Saudi Arabia who fund terrorist groups

2019-12-19 06:12:27 UTC

They've definitely used US presence to sympathize with Islamic extremists, but this goes back to the pernicious nature of their culture and religion. Ignoring the geo-political aspects, it's worth handing this clusterfuck over the UN or more localized nations while preserving pockets of troops to monitor for Islamic militant activity.

2019-12-19 06:12:41 UTC

And then we go over to fight them its a giant shit show

2019-12-19 06:12:57 UTC

This is why i hate libertarians

2019-12-19 06:13:02 UTC

Hippies

2019-12-19 06:13:08 UTC

I would argue we've advanced to the point of where monitoring and drone strikes would be perfectly effective.

2019-12-19 06:13:13 UTC

That cannot see the way of geopolitik

2019-12-19 06:13:32 UTC

Well, libertarians only care about personal freedoms period

2019-12-19 06:13:41 UTC

That's why they tend to be insufferable

2019-12-19 06:13:49 UTC

Yeah

2019-12-19 06:14:01 UTC

Do you disagree that we send billions in foreign aid to Saudi Arabia who fund terrorist groups

2019-12-19 06:14:06 UTC

Nope

2019-12-19 06:14:12 UTC

At least Dems have perceived values of care and fairness, with Republicans advocating for authority and tradition

2019-12-19 06:14:17 UTC

and dont really care in exchange for oil

2019-12-19 06:14:29 UTC

Huh

2019-12-19 06:14:32 UTC

a few terrorists for an nation of oil

2019-12-19 06:14:37 UTC

It's true that the Saudi's absolutely fund terrorist organizations.

2019-12-19 06:14:47 UTC

Yep

2019-12-19 06:14:55 UTC

However we need to become self-sufficient for crude production before you can expect ties to be severed completely.

2019-12-19 06:15:00 UTC

Exactly

2019-12-19 06:15:07 UTC

You're advocating for funding a war to fight the terrirists while we fund the terrorists. Do you realize how stupid that is

2019-12-19 06:15:11 UTC

At that point fuck the saudis

2019-12-19 06:15:16 UTC

its not really

2019-12-19 06:15:24 UTC

Its an exchange

2019-12-19 06:15:51 UTC

And besides the saudis prop them up and we knock them down

2019-12-19 06:16:04 UTC

Knock them down quite easily i might add.

2019-12-19 06:16:05 UTC

It's a breath of fresh air to recognize the problems, but proposing solutions is challenging when you have the American economy dependent on the Saudi's production of crude.

2019-12-19 06:16:47 UTC

We have energy surplus but not crude surplus

2019-12-19 06:16:52 UTC

Different things

2019-12-19 06:16:54 UTC

And while I'm all about the idea of implementing electric vehicles, we're realistically 20 years from that landmark.

2019-12-19 06:17:05 UTC

25 years

2019-12-19 06:17:14 UTC

It's gonna be a few decades.

2019-12-19 06:17:17 UTC

So this whole thing with Trumps impeachment, I figure it out. They don't want it to go through the plan is a setup for the next election to have a slogan against Trump something with "legitimacy" something like "But do you really want to trust your freedoms future to someone who was already IMPEACHED", "Well DO YOU?!"
They don't want it to fully pass they want it to fail. Then blame the right for not following through and point to the mask they placed on Trump as a distraction from anything as, "At least we can't be as bad as the Impeached guy, mirite y'all!" (Laughter ensues from placed audience)

2019-12-19 06:17:23 UTC

getting rid of the bad rap that nuclear power gets and focusing on advancing that would be an excellent first step on the way to cutting ties with Saudi Arabia

2019-12-19 06:17:31 UTC
2019-12-19 06:17:37 UTC

Also yeah Fox

2019-12-19 06:18:09 UTC

I definitely agree with that @Cobra Commander

2019-12-19 06:18:11 UTC

We cant handle another senario like the 1973 opec embargo

2019-12-19 06:18:16 UTC

So we use the saudis

2019-12-19 06:18:25 UTC

That's one of the reasons I can't stand any talks around the Green New Deal. It's carelessly discards Nuclear energy while ignoring the abundance of energy provided, lack of carbon emissions, and independence from crude.

2019-12-19 06:18:39 UTC

@Gray__Fox And yes, that's most likely their plan
