Any president who says nationalism is a betrayal of patriotism should get exiled. They don't even understand the most basic task of their job.
What I do not understand why exactly is nationalism so maligned? Sure, internationalist commies and moneygrabbers etc etc but for the everyman? "But that resulted in WW2!" "I do not like nazis!" Who does? Why is it so wrong to like your own country and it's culture?
Nationalism tramples on individualism.
Same as globalism does.
It's both the other side of the same coin.
Gotta say, it's fun watching French riots
based firefighters embracing clownworld
Who exactly was the one who was saying that the protests died down?
because I distinctly remember somebody on this server saying that the protests were dying down because the Western press wasn't reporting on it anymore
Maybe you just heard it from some normie "journalist"
what are your guys' thoughts on tim anyways?
He needs to take the red pill already.
And also to calm down, he goes on and on about the same things. "I am biracial" "I have my preferences" which are cool and everything but most of his content just feels so samey.
also he needs to drop that silly wool cap and embrace the bald.
Tim's videos are 20+ minutes but in reality feature only 5 minutes of content, the rest is him stuttering and rambling
I agree that Tim makes too many videos
And repeats himself a lot
But I do still like a lot of his content and I think he has some good takes
And I think it's good to have a bit of balance to the "red pilled" bubble
Sure, but personally I don't need to hear the same take again and again. The comments on his videos are usually pretty hilarious
Tim's comment section is AIDS
I lose braincells every time I look at it
They do have a point about him taking the red pill, he does seem to be ideologically more aligned with the "right" but he cant seem to force himself to admit it. It wasn't easy for me either, I used to be a complete cringe-commie in my youth.
Not really. He is still a leftie but the thing is that the Left has thrown him off the bus and drove away (further to the left).
I don't think he needs to convert to muh abortions bæd and muh death penalty gud, just because the people who believe that tend to be nicer and more rational people.
Of course there is room to the discussion that what even constitutes "the Left" nowadays etc. However I do not think that being pro life and pro capital punishment is the test to pass as a right winger. At least to me it is more about being small government, pro individuals rights and duties and so on. But sure, abortion and death penalty are important issues to the right.
Individualism, limited government authority and essential human freedoms are like the core principles of Liberalism, which I also argue is an inherently right-wing ideology.
all that is left wing
limited government authority is the closest thing to a right wing concept there but then in the view of the right traditionally it is only limited insofar as subsidiarity is concerned
local units of governance would still be imbued with tremendous authority
Individualism is left wing? all right then....<:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
I thought they were supposed to be the 'collectivists' lmao
it was the liberals who put forward the concept of individual rights, who advocated against the collective authority embodied by corporate intermediaries between the individual and the state
sure, non of that excludes a person from being right wing in my eyes though?
depends where you set the center
but all of these concepts have their roots in left wing opposition to the right
true , but after defeating that, liberalism kinda occupies the 'centre' of the political space, especially after the more 'radical' socialists entered the scene.

I agree that Liberalism is probably the closest thing to a centrist ideology there is
well with a liberal status quo liberalism is the "center" sure
