Unless you explain how it is that's a bit nonsensical.

2020-01-22 22:22:45 UTC

2020-01-22 22:22:48 UTC

If you don't think party politics were a massive force as early as the end of the 17th century you're wrong

2020-01-22 22:22:51 UTC

Which policies?

2020-01-22 22:23:13 UTC

abortion, mnarriage, size of government, minimum wage, taxation

2020-01-22 22:23:17 UTC

2020-01-22 22:23:39 UTC

2020-01-22 22:23:47 UTC

2020-01-22 22:25:16 UTC

removing individual rights over the collective

2020-01-22 22:25:18 UTC

Not being as left as Labour does not make them actual conservatives, this is the only way I can see them being viewed as not pretty damn left

2020-01-22 22:26:38 UTC

when Blair won his second term the Tories took a huge shift to the left

2020-01-22 22:26:47 UTC

as they feared never winning again

2020-01-22 22:27:00 UTC

2020-01-22 22:27:24 UTC

on wikipedia-conservatives under "boris johnson" .....
...
"Since the election, a number of far-right activists claim to have joined the Conservatives, prompting concerns over entryism."

2020-01-22 22:28:20 UTC

apparently britain first memebers

2020-01-22 22:28:20 UTC

@Jes
If you define the existance of a minimum wage as being left then that's left wing.
I'm not sure what you mean about the institute of marriage. It still exists. They even have a tax break purely for married people.
Bigger government was never a non-Conservative thing until Margaret Thatcher, the idea that conservatives or the Conservatives have been anti-authoritarian isn't a thing historically or now.
I notice though you didn't point out how they've been non-Conservative on taxation.
