That's the one

2020-01-25 23:31:55 UTC

doesn't look so nuclear now

2020-01-25 23:33:53 UTC

I know a lot of my family used the church.. but given all my ancestors are pretty much from this town and area and the church is well over a 1000 years old... Must be a lot over the years

2020-01-25 23:35:01 UTC

My grandad often pointed at it and mumbled something but I never really paid attention :p

2020-01-25 23:37:34 UTC

There's an old 11th century castle in town too... It was taken over by Vikings a few times

2020-01-25 23:37:49 UTC

It's pretty massive

2020-01-25 23:40:14 UTC

Anyone know of Caerphilly Castle?

2020-01-25 23:43:48 UTC

Yes

2020-01-25 23:44:04 UTC

It's one of the bigger ones in wales I think

2020-01-25 23:44:46 UTC

Might be th ebiggest actuall

2020-01-25 23:44:55 UTC

I mix up caerphilly and caernarfon

2020-01-26 00:54:48 UTC

@wacka hmm, problem with tech is that it sounds great in theory, but is hard to actually do, i.e. solid state batteries

2020-01-26 01:01:28 UTC

Yeah but read the article, they've already done the tech part and now just trying to get production sorted

2020-01-26 01:01:48 UTC

Think it said 5yrs?

2020-01-26 01:02:15 UTC

well i guess they could utilize same kind of tech as processor production etc

2020-01-26 01:02:40 UTC

But like it said it's only very low power

2020-01-26 01:02:59 UTC

yeah

2020-01-26 01:03:16 UTC

I'm guessing the tricky part must be getting something in parallel to push the current up

2020-01-26 01:04:14 UTC

Or perhaps that would make it too expensive.. or bulky..
But still "near-infinite" energy... Sounds like my old Nokia 3310

2020-01-26 01:05:01 UTC

lmao

2020-01-26 01:05:13 UTC

did they mention energy density?

2020-01-26 01:07:48 UTC

Can't remember, why not have a read, it's not that long and quite interesting

2020-01-26 01:09:08 UTC

ive worked with my calculus exercise all day so i cant coherently read anything atm

2020-01-26 01:09:38 UTC

laplace transforms are taking place in front of my eyes

2020-01-26 01:29:26 UTC

Pfft all these french mathematicians with their Fourier transforms and Laplace transforms... Get yourself a British Heavisides step function or something

2020-01-26 02:54:17 UTC

lol

2020-01-26 02:55:14 UTC

As if Aldi or Lidl are anymore EU than fucking Morrisons or Sainsburys

2020-01-26 02:55:51 UTC

Also Aldi and Lidl will be the first to switch to non-EU suppliers if it means better business for them

2020-01-26 02:56:18 UTC

ALSO LOL them thinking that they will somehow by buying from Aldi and Lidl will "drain the UK of cash"

2020-01-26 02:56:29 UTC

These people don't know how economics works do they?

2020-01-26 03:04:34 UTC
