@Dᴏᴏғᴜs Dᴏʀᴋᴍᴀɴᴇ I kinda hope you're mixing up ethnicity with nationality. We already restrict migration based on origin because as you say, security concerns.
What about discriminating against non citizens
Non citizens are non citizens
That would still be wrong if it was based on race, If the native citizens really wanted to do that then it should be done but i would still disagree with it
Ethnicity is a group of things. Stuff like race is involved, but so is genetics and ancestry.
Basically what ethnicity comes down to is: The more similar someone is to you, the better. Nationality would fit in there as well, but it there is a higher chance that someone from Portugal will integrate better in England than someone from Somalia
That shouldn't lead us to discriminate though
There should definitely be a different treatment between citizens and non-citizens
It should when it comes to immigration
It's clear that if someone comes from a similar country they can integrate better i agree with that
But i still don't think that is a reason to stop certain people from immigrating and attempting to integrate them based on that
"It's clear that if someone comes from a similar country they can integrate better i agree with that" bRuH
Okay racist
That's pretty much a given
If the cultural change is limited then they can integrate better
What if there are a whole lot of problems in society and a lot of it is centered around a huge base of an immigrant group. Should still nothing be done? When is it ever enough?
You are saying some French person can integrate better than a Sudanese person?
To an extent
Okay racist
Laws and culture are more similar
How
@Dᴏᴏғᴜs Dᴏʀᴋᴍᴀɴᴇ We can investigate that group if that becomes a problem
But continuing to let those people to come should still be done, despite that "investigation"?
But we shouldn't point to the actions of a group of people from a particular country and use that as a reason to deny other people who would potentially be better from immigrating from that country
We took over India for instance
That was clearly not supported by the Indians and yet our government did it
Should India now say that all British people are banned from India due to the former actions of some British People?
Or would that be unfair to all the people that have nothing to do with the actions committed
The same relates to this
India should definitely dictate who they want to let in their country or not, yes
Some members of a group might commit crimes
alright dude- Seen Katy Hopkins got yeeted on twitter.... heres some interesting info for you or sargon- Rachel Riley says she met with Centre for Countering Digital Hate and that is what led to Katie having her account vapourised. Well, the guy that owns this Centre for Countering Digital Hate LTD also happens to own Labourlist.org. His name is Morgan James Mcsweeney (also look at the join/resign dates on one of his other businesses). You can find this mans buisiness holding listed on companies house. Surely it is a scandal if someone running a labour news site is using his other company to deplatform right with commentators and journos
But we shouldn't use that as a reason to ban other members of that group from coming in
Some groups commit crimes more than others
can someone pass this message to sargon please: alright dude- Seen Katy Hopkins got yeeted on twitter.... heres some interesting info for you or sargon- Rachel Riley says she met with Centre for Countering Digital Hate and that is what led to Katie having her account vapourised. @Dᴏᴏғᴜs Dᴏʀᴋᴍᴀɴᴇ Would it be fair and morally right for India to do that?
Yeah
Why?
Since most people had nothing to do with it
Because they are taking precautions to protect their own citizens
So we should judge an entire group based on the actions of a few members of that group?
