i'd also ban irreplaceable batteries

in lots of things - game controllers, phones, etc

they're all as bad as each other

they know non-repairability is what gets people to replace their goods every 3 years

1. It's not for governments to decide.
2. There's already uniformality in ports.

We need either full right-to-repair laws, or mandatory 10yr parts + labour warranties

Forcing a company to manufacture something for a decade is a bad thing

Especially with the current technology

10yrs for cars, 5yrs for everything else

Either that or right-to-repair

You do aware that such things involves toolings, right?

You need minimal tools for most repairs

And independent electrics repairers have the tools for everything else

I'm talking about manufacturing

You don't need different tooling to make a product that lasts 5 or 10yrs to what you have now
