Technological society can not progress
Core things Ted said are true tbh
but
he was like hyperfocused on that being the be-all end-all
Power process is true, def
but he was too dogmatic about ANYTHING being bad that wasn't what satisfied it
and he had no concept of ethnicity/organic society (tbh I don't expect most modern westerners to have that concept)
his analysis is mostly good
I think archaeofuturism is the most "extreme" realistic solution without going full emp apocalypse like he would want
@Code Blue so who will harness the laser technology when the epic people go to the forests to go back to living like cavemen
And what about space travel
yeah dropping all tech isn't realistic
you have to balance shit
Technology developed upon abstraction will only lead to destruction
I mean what even Ted knew it would require mass death
apocalypse tier shit
mass destruction
So lead technology and society in a direction instead of giving the wheel to someone else
It would be easy enough to bring it all down now
Never forget that
Oh. Well tell me the easy answer @Code Blue
also you do realize that if you weree to roll back shit
millions of people /would/ die of starvation
Millions to save what would inevitably be trillions
only modern tech can make the amount of food to feed as many people as it does
as many people we have that is
Yes it is all very dynamic isn't it @Code Blue
Which is why it's susceptible to chaos theory
The issue isn't that stopping the use of advanced tech would kill billions...
thing is it would regarding food production
Communista
I don't think it's possible at fucking all to make enough food
with pre-industrial tech
there's no way in hell we could sustain the current world's population
The issue is that we used tech to expand population to a point where without it's assistance we are fucked
yeah lol
I mean
that's functionally the same as what I am saying
