I suppose
I don't think robot wars was ever considered an esport tho
we didnt say esports back then
true
listen, you need drone cams on your robot controller so you can play this sport at a safe distance
preferably hundreds of yards away
it needs an array of wide angle cameras
big box retail space is about to become very cheap and useless
for full 360 view
if you can afford it, thats fine, but all you really need is a driver cam and a turret cam
in BattleBots im guessing it was too long ago to be using wifi, so they probly used radio, and therefore can only be so far away that a plastic window will protect them
but now we can blow live ammunition from killer toys over WiFi just like the military does
it's true that it's a sport few people could afford to play
you lose when you get TD'd, and the easiest way to TD will be to take out the computer, so you're buying a new chip
does not that sound like fun
I suppose if it became a popular esport you would get sponsorships and shit
yeah sponsorships from the leading arms manufacturers
although of course it would probly be limited to having specially designed small low-velocity HE rounds that cant kill at a given distance
@picnicnapkin it's a joke
heres the lates from MotherBored
https://motherboard.vice.com/en_us/article/yw43kj/what-happens-if-linux-developers-remove-their-code
i haven't been keeping up with this, can i get a quick rundown?
Im still looking for a good overall summary of everything thats happened so far
*why not just scroll up several days and read all my linkdumps?* <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>
Linus says his problem is he doesnt understand emotions. I believe he is wrong.

🤦
yeah i fail to see where he illustrates a problem in himself
"i have a problem, i think logically"
whao his wifes a blackbelt
yeah she can kick his ass
that's why we're in this mess <:sad:382980750347206666>
@M4Gunner @z80 @Deleted User It seems the exodus from Linux has begun. My roommates research group with one of our professors was talking about how ODL, the main firmware for layer 2 switches, and it is based on Linux, had nearly it's entire group of maintainers quit because of the new CoC.
