I'm not sure if I'd be able to put up with the fuel cost right now
my next vehicle purchase was going to be a 300c because the diesel isn't too bad
but now it's looking like I'll end up getting a fireblade instead since the older diesels are all getting fucked by sadick khan
hahaa
I'm not the kind of person to wish bad on anyone but he's an exception, I genuinely hope terrible things happen to him because he is such a disgusting example of a politician
and he's making london more difficult for me

Short ram intake arrives tomorrow.
First kustomization I've been able to do to a car.
what car
Chevy cruze. 1.4T
Yes yes i know, not a performance car by any stretch.
But some light mods for a touch more power are worth it in my book.
I plan on getting a tune next.
I think the Eurofag version is the Vauxhall...Astra, I think.
I don't remember exactly.
exhaust is usually the best place to start on upping power, especially if you can get away with a decat
I would agree if it was the 1.8L.
The turbo? I would really be surprised if it didn't benefit from a less restrictive filter. @LOGiK The stock one is _horrendous_
Plus, I couldn't do a decat even if I wanted to. State requires yearly emissions inspections, and in any case any real exhaust mods would make the car too loud IMO.
More turbo spool I like, but much more than that would drown out the good qualities of the car: being quiet and efficient.
Also that's why I plan on getting a remap later.
Just...gotta start with the filter.
I'm not expecting like a hundred horsepower from this either. Manufacturer says to expect about 7hp and about 12lb/ft. Various forums seem to support that it gives a noticeable power bump, so it's good enough for me.
dunno, most modern engines aren't suffocated by induction but at very least run happier with less backpressure. I wouldn't say for sure if good manifolds and decats translate to more hp without a remap as ecus dictate a lot but they certainly lead to better throttle response
'AVE some of that
@Broo TulsiGang 2024 π¬π§ πΊπΈ Those last 10 laps were some quality racing
@LOGiK i would argue decat amd mufflers improve sound and fuel economy more than anything else unless coupled with a tune.
Still not really an option for me. Particularly not decat
can't you just swap a decat pipe out for inspection each year?
I run a 3" from turbo right back, I only put the cat on for the yearly MOT
