This is one of the best F50 videos I've seen, especially as far as the audio recording.
There's something about them
In motion they are beautiful
but by God
the F50, Enzo and La Ferrrari are ugly
Yeah, I can't say any of them are truly pretty, they're cool looking, not pretty. The 60 valve V12 bolted to the tub on one end and the transmission on the other is beautiful though.
I also think the Enzo is the worst of them, the LaFerrari is definitely better looking than the Enzo.
Corvettes have a rear mounted transaxle
Yeah they do, any context for that?
I thought that's what you were referring to
So do a lot of cars.
Oh okay
The F50 is mid engined.
I didn't know if you were saying it was unique
The transmission is literally bolted to the engine.
It's not a front engined car with a transaxle, the engine and transmission are the rear half of the chassis.
It's not unique, plenty of race cars and some track day cars like the BAC Mono are built like that, but it's certainly not common and not at all similar to the layout of a Corvette.
Not common on a road car.
I dunno I won't put as much stock in the reliability of the Merc as I think you are @Broo TulsiGang 2024 π¬π§ πΊπΈ
Also as far as the Corvette, the C5 was the first to have a transaxle setup, the 944 and 928 had them over a decade before that, but it's not uncommon in high performance front engined cars.
As a matter of strategy I can see them trying to make up lost time against Ferrari's engines by pushing the car closer to the edge
Yeah, I don't have the hard figures for failure during the season in front of me but offhand it seems like the Ferraris have the edge on reliability too, in addition to outright speed.
They're also the only one of the top three teams not to have a double DNF this season.
I wish Red Bull had the same intimate knowledge of the engine limits that Ferrari and Mercedes do in order to really crank them up for qualifying, because their actual in race pace has been very competitive. Not gonna happen with a third party supplier though. At least not with Renault.

> puts TOYOTA stripes on it
> calls that "retro"
Retrograde thinking?
They should have gone with a canary yellow instead of white
I mean they called it retro style
it's just a way to make money
Yes, the dealership said as much. They're same year pre-owned trucks that have odd color codes that aren't popular, so they give it a retro wrap and sell them online
I don't really mind it honestly
like
if it works, good for them
I wouldn't buy one, but i see the appeal
Very trippy seeing KC headlights in 2018
Right? Those bitches better be LEDs
It's pretty classy, tbh
I also don't mind it
