especially if with the deletion of regulation a lot of barriers to entering the US market were removed as well
it's all hypothetical though sadly
I want a window into parallel universes
so I can see how all different things play out
idk why this is even a debateable topic. I thought it was common knowledge about American 'muscle cars' and large displacement engines prior to the gas crisis.
Yes, you're right about 'performance', but there wasn't really even a competition between the regions yet. Different vehicles for different kinds of roads.
And turbos weren't common yet, until the advent of CAD and more precision engineering
Not until the mid-80s
ITC: insanely low level conversations masked as high level ones with yellow prose.
what if they're GREEN
what then

Merkur
haha
Sierra
Yeah, they were a marketing nightmare here
Fox body mustang is still better though
but you got the Focus now
just took a little time
But it's wrong wheel drive
yes
why didn't he just crank the boost on the original engine?
@LOGiK Because the Coyote is lighter, more powerful, and more robust?
prefer the original engine, it can push a lot of boost too
lol the original engine is why the Sierra failed stateside. It was the same wheelbase and weight as a Mustang, but had the entry level 4cyl with no v8 option.
I don't think we got any Cosworth engine in it
could look or will look hmm it looks good to me
It's more in line with the current design language, versus the original concept iteration, I think is what they're going for
I'm not certain but there are sierras running around with close to 500hp, I'm not sure how different the engines are but like I said, there's a lot of boost to be had
also the weight saving is likely due to the lack of a turbo system, and probably offset by a heavier transmission
I think it's the same transmission.
It was the Pinto engine
If I recall there's a 1000hp pinto out there
