What I'm not liking about Stellaris 2.0 is the pirate events.

Now that you need to spend influence to expand, it seriously limits how fast you can do it. And no matter how fast you do it, you constantly have pirates spawning just outside your borders.

Or, if you leave a hole in your territory, again, that's where the pirates will spawn. And they rubberband on how strong your standard outposts are.

Sounds reminiscent of the Mongol spam in TW Medieval 2

had a good hunt, didn't get the bounty, went to one of the extraction points (where some cunt was camping in order to try to kill the guy who DID have the bounty), capped him, started getting shot at by another guy but managed to escape

And then the server had an error so I didn't get any xp. At least my character didn't get scrubbed, but bloody hell that's annoying
