Skyrim VR is fucking incredible

Incredible enough to pay AAA price for a 6+ year old game @Lion Hamster GMT+999994 ? <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>

2018-05-02 11:29:12 UTC

Yes

2018-05-02 11:30:46 UTC

Lol

2018-05-02 11:31:22 UTC

I think people shouldn't buy skyrim anymore as a matter of principle

2018-05-02 11:33:18 UTC

Hey I mean, vr is it's own thing

2018-05-02 11:43:21 UTC

Enough of one to justify a re-release IMO

2018-05-02 11:59:15 UTC

I doubt the development cost that went into the VR modifications equals the cost of a current_year AAA game, so I don't think I can agree with you on it being worth that much.

2018-05-02 11:59:42 UTC

Skyrim re-releases have become a bit of a joke.

2018-05-02 12:30:03 UTC

And that's why I don't think it should be paid full price

2018-05-02 12:32:37 UTC

I've tried VR a few times, and where most people around me went: "woah this is so awesome, it feels like I'm actually there!", I reacted with disappointment: "Is the resolution really this crap?" <:pepe_sad:378719408345841664>

2018-05-02 12:33:10 UTC

I remember when WT got VR support

2018-05-02 12:33:25 UTC

Reportedly it's good when you're actually *in* the dogfight, but good luck trying to spot anything sneaking up on you

2018-05-02 12:34:01 UTC

Your mentioning of the resolution issues with VR is what reminded me of that, go figure

2018-05-02 12:37:53 UTC

Ehh, tried WT in VR, twas fun, probably not going to do it again

2018-05-02 12:37:59 UTC

VR is nice, but I don't think it's worth 60 Usd

2018-05-02 12:38:09 UTC

Either they implement on the game from day one

2018-05-02 12:38:21 UTC

Or, they make the game exclusively for VR

2018-05-02 12:38:37 UTC

No reason to release the fame for 60 plus another VR version for another 60

2018-05-02 12:40:24 UTC

>Redesign a whole new game for a hugely smaller market as opposed to porting a full triple A game because I'm an entitled twat

2018-05-02 12:44:47 UTC

Elite Dangerous was fun in VR. Probably the only game I'd consider it for, currently.

2018-05-02 12:45:04 UTC

I've used VR sets before they became products, I'm way too aware of the flaws to enjoy them.

2018-05-02 12:47:30 UTC

When/if they get better resolution and fov, I might consider getting one.

2018-05-02 12:47:46 UTC

Until then, I can live without.

2018-05-02 12:47:59 UTC

I mean, they are

2018-05-02 12:48:26 UTC

Pro's increased by 72% and that was a pretty simple alteration

2018-05-02 12:48:35 UTC

More 1.5 than 2.0

2018-05-02 12:50:20 UTC

Vastly below my personal comfort zone, still. I get a better experience with a good screen. Some games come with worse vertigo experiences as well, though that's obviously also something they've been working on improving, and succeeding in some cases.

2018-05-02 12:50:49 UTC

I've never had nausea from VR

2018-05-02 12:51:00 UTC

There's also this for FOV

2018-05-02 12:52:35 UTC

You're a lucky minority, or haven't played "enough", then.

2018-05-02 12:52:50 UTC

I don't really know why

2018-05-02 12:53:01 UTC

I stick to teleportation movement when I can

2018-05-02 12:53:20 UTC

That's probably why

2018-05-02 12:53:33 UTC

Elite Dangerous, landing on a planet gave me vertigo, and I never get it irl

2018-05-02 12:54:38 UTC

but some people don't feel vertigo, for whatever reason. Superior genes perhaps? <:pepe_smug:378719408341909506>

2018-05-02 12:55:03 UTC

I look forward to trying some of the high FOV stuff

2018-05-02 12:55:06 UTC

Probably just broke that with too many videogames or something

2018-05-02 12:55:26 UTC

That Starvr thing looks incredible
