if some of you parants are of certain nationalities you fail the security clearens automatically. and they are anal on it. as even a low rank soldier can be set to handle top security information and gear.

Mine most got away with a confidential clearance. Until you hit a higher rank.

This might be why you dont get entry in the US forces for jobs with security clearance until after you cleared
Yeah, a security clearance is part of the enlistment process. I had mine before I even left for Basic Training

But even then there are some jobs that you can do with just confidential and not secret. Hell during the surge there were some allowed with no security clearance.
