The "buy now, pay later" consumer culture that is denigrated as "capitalism" throughout is actually the direct result of Keynesian macroeconomic policy which was followed to the letter during the post-war consensus adopted by both Labour and the Tories in the 1950s and 60s. The point about delaying gratification is textbook Austrian economics, but it's likely no one involved with the production of this show knew that.```
