I agree 100%
Unfortunately religion seems to be symptomatic of a deeper flaw that is faith
i think religion is a symptom of humans natural tribal desire for heirarchy combined with the best explanation of the universe a bunch of stone age people could create, thats been perpetuated throughout history by the mutually beneficial relationship between religion and state
I guess I mean mostly in its current embodiment
there literally wasn't anything close to a better explanation available, there are probably more atheists alive now than in the rest of human history
Once the statist and scientific aspects have been replaced
its an empty hull of blind faith and god of the gaps arguments
There are still foundations of wishful thinking, i.e. afterlife
creationist arguments after you boil off the long dead bullshit you're just left with "look how pretty the sunrise is" etc and misuse of the words "chance" and "theory"
Masturbating to their own awe
i had an interesting chat with an ex-atheist catholic traditionalist on poldare and basically all his arguments were based on a fundamental denial of objective truth in favor of his feels
much along the same ideological lines of early fascism, unironic feels before reals
A tenuous comparison imo, but devaluing logic and reason is contrary to any productive system of thought
his justification was decidedly vague shit like "experiences i couldnt explain" etc
Typical
God loves those gaps
They had some pretty good prop
some gr8 b8 m8
hehe
tax policy highlights its a good start but the need is to take a swing at the corperate tax rate
There's a certain irony behind Trump being ridiculed for being so egotistical when so many Dems are willing to throw their own party under the bus for a few extra minutes of fame
Hillary's entire book (and refusal to *go away and let the Dems regroup*), Donna's "it wasn't *my* fault!" expose` and so on and so on
Let them the sooner they go away the better
they won't.
Hillary will carry on doing her thing whilst the rest of the party will maneuver to position themselves behind the next frontrunner
In which case Donna's article makes sense if she's trying to get back in the good graces of the Berniebros
Because he'd get some serious traction if he showed up for the 2020 primaries
If they have sense they sould run Tulsi Gabbard
If she stfu about $15 per hour, she could even win
That is for the general election
You got to throw people a bone in the primary
that is a fair accessment
Need to see what happens next year first. Kid Rock for Senate!
Tulsi's religion might be an issue for some but she probs wouldn't get those votes anyway
Thinking is hard

virtue signaling is easier
