If I could suffer through that townhall again I could try to confirm

2018-02-23 20:12:43 UTC

Sadly, the one guy that could have unmasked them just chickened out. He should have played along, then shown the scripted questions in front of everyone.

2018-02-23 20:13:09 UTC

you talking about the ROTC guy?

2018-02-23 20:13:12 UTC

I was thinking the same thing

2018-02-23 20:13:17 UTC

Be like 'yeah, sure!'

2018-02-23 20:13:28 UTC

then when you have the mic just ask what you wanted anyway

Allegedly the police have been politically structured in Broward county for some time in order to lower arrest rates by excusing escalating levels of crime

2018-02-23 20:54:40 UTC

yeah, I posted about that on the reddit

2018-02-23 20:54:49 UTC

someone else basically cliffnoted it on the JBP server

2018-02-23 20:55:14 UTC

`> police in miami dade stopped prosecuting students to lower the arrest rates starting 2011ish
>starting 2013 broward county follows miami dade policies
>they'd list stolen property recovered as found property
>weed would just get thrown into police storage, stolen property etc
>reported as found property. couldn't be released to victims in some cases because that would make the items recovered evidence of a crime which the police were not reporting as a crime think: slap on the wrist`

2018-02-23 20:55:22 UTC

`>the IA investigation came about because someone leaked to the media that martin was a juvenile delenquint and there wasn't any cases just a record of falsified police reports (found property instead of stolen property for example). this is a bit unclear to me, in the affidavits it seems the police chief hurley tried to pin a bunch of shit on his General Investigative Unit (GIU) officers making it seem they had violated laws about evidence handling and protocols for evidence sharing etc to paint a picture of them leaking etc but it backfired because they all followed their interviews with statements to the effect of -- hurley was a vindictive prick and had been running this scheme to reduce crime rates in the miami-dade school system by legal loopholes about found evidence etc.
>so the detectives, their major, and the sergeant complained and the chief (from stanford where trayvon was from) tried to get them fired or some disciplined or some shti
>but in the IA investigation it came up that the department was in violation of SOPs for evidence handling and there are tons of cases of basically a slap on the wrist for actual crimes and it's revealed that this is all happening because of policies relating to the goal of reducing crime statistics in the miami-dade area to secure more federal school funding
>this related to broward because broward began implementing this in 2013 and the ripple effect from this hits in 2018
>police aren't reporting death threats this kid made to students, his online threats, etc because to do so would add to the statistics for juvenile crime, be tied to the school and lead to reduced funding.
>kid takes a rifle to school and kills a bunch of kids.`

>Not sure tbh

why the hell would the camera be zoomed that far in

Great speech. A bit cringe when he got off script, but still great.

2018-02-24 13:25:28 UTC

He threw some good jabs at Milo.

2018-02-24 15:44:04 UTC

@zahlman The camera isn't zoomed in, someone has just taken the still image from a hi-res video and zoomed in on *that*

2018-02-24 17:25:09 UTC

that's what I figured at first, except a) just how hi-res of a feed does cnn provide? b) it doesn't seem congruent with the on-screen graphics; it looks like someone pointed a camera at a tv set

2018-02-24 18:29:35 UTC

I'd expect CNN to provide reasonably hi-res feeds, but at the end of the day (like I said above) I'd have to rewatch the 'townhall' to confirm it myself, and honestly cbf doing that. If someone else wants to do so, by all means knock yourself out, see if it really is legit or not

2018-02-24 19:57:07 UTC

dis guy.

2018-02-24 19:57:10 UTC

dis fuckin' guy.

So The bronx is worse now? <:think_madpepe:378717098630971395>

2018-02-24 20:10:24 UTC

oh shit

2018-02-24 20:11:02 UTC

I wasn't expecting it to be "look how bad capitalism can get, I can cherrypick too", I thought it was going to be "I'm delusional and I think I found an actually working version of socialism in 80s america"

2018-02-24 20:11:18 UTC

apparently I need more caffeine

2018-02-24 20:12:00 UTC

I just find it fascinating how he basically flipped the script on how NY played out in the late 70s/early 80s

2018-02-24 20:17:50 UTC

Isn't NYC the only city where you have to pay city taxes in addition to state and federal taxes? Those fuckers can run all sorts of terrible social experiments.

2018-02-24 20:23:08 UTC

OP seems like a shit troll, imma just countertroll tbh

2018-02-24 20:26:28 UTC

actually OP's overall posting history is... weird, politically speaking

2018-02-24 20:26:31 UTC

idk how to pin it really

2018-02-24 20:50:01 UTC

He's posted before

2018-02-24 20:50:08 UTC

defending the virtues of communism and socialism

2018-02-24 20:50:43 UTC

One time I made a quick (and easy) joke about how the labour camps solved the housing problem

2018-02-24 20:50:58 UTC

and he was like THERE HAVE BEEN NO LABOUR CAMPS IN THE SOVIET UNION SINCE THE 1950S EDUCATE YOURSELF
