They lost key governorships, they lost key senate races, most of the house seats they won were from neocons, a number of their potential candidates in 2020 got wiped
I wonder if losing the house would actually help Trump in the 2020 election
it probably will mean getting that wall is much harder though right now
even with a majority in the house that doesn't necessarily mean instant veto though right? or do dems literally autovote no on anything proposed by republicans?
I bet they would, just out of spite
yeah I was thinking that might actually be the case
Need 2/3 of the vote
SO it's kinda hard no matter what
ha
idk man Cruz seems kinda cool
Party allegiances aren't as rigid in the house as the senate
Reps from swing districts really have to watch themselves, unlike senators
Plus the die like fruit flies thanks to the term lengths
Rememeber the power of FREE SHIT
That 55 seat senate
can the house even do much?
Not anymore kiddo
At least Trump can blame everything on them
i think they have budgetary powers
ah so they can stonewall the wall
Ironically the only people putting stones on the wall will be Democrats for the next 2 years.
They also vote on legislation, it goes to the house then they send it to the senate who change and vote on it. Then it goes back to the house to vote on the final bill
The senate is the only place where the repubs won
Best place to hold
Next time there will be more vulnereability
Whoops itβs 54 seat senate now
For the senate
this is typical though
Correct
If anything a Democratic house is good for Trump
usually, the party opposite the president wins the house in the midterms
He can blame them for everything going wrong

What would you guys consider to be a first generation immigrant?
Someone who has emigrated to another country and now lives there, or someone who is the child of an immigrant and now is born and lives in the new country
