The only bikes on the road that i've ever seen commuting in LA and the surrounding areas are middle-class middle-aged dudes who are fully decked out in biking gear

2018-11-08 20:42:42 UTC

You know, people who work

2018-11-08 20:43:11 UTC

why work when you can live on welfare

@Deleted User That is actually a very interesting question and had me thinking for a while. So my response is the following.

I would say that as a society, Communism has more merit *ideally*, and that term is important. In an ideal communist society, everyone is equal, you all enjoy pretty much full rights. Your voice is heard and has weight in the decisions of the workplace, city, region and country. You are free, and have no oppressor, or any one exploiting you. There is no social mobility because there is only one class, the proletariat. Of course, this is all ideally, and as well all know, unattainable,, and has never been able to be fully implemented properly. I'll get to this later.

Under Feudalism it is quite the opposite. The individual is theoretically "free", they are freemen. However a peasant was still bound to the land it was born in, and had to swear loyalty to its lord. It couldn't move out or leave the land unless he was granted this permission, or that person was without a lord, which was very uncommon. Social mobility was basically null, and you would die in the same position you were born as. The elites, Royalty, Nobility and Clergy would have absolute say in state and regional matters, with no representation of the peasantry. However, when comparing this to that of ideal communism, this system is in fact attainable, and has existed and worked in the past for centuries, pretty much around the world.

2018-11-09 01:11:20 UTC

However, going back on the discussion of communism, if we are to look at historic and present day examples of "communism", then that society has little to no merit, and in fact pretty much resembles the feudal hierarchy, without the social contract of it. (exchange of services and loyalty) In communist countries of the past you would live in a similar state to feudal Europe. Your freedoms were extremely limited, and you could only respond to your regional commissar. You had very little say in the running of the country or the region and there was a hierarchy in place.

So in conclusion if I had to pick a choice between communism and feudalism as to which one had more merit as a society, then I would pick the *idealised* version of communism. However if you want me to pick on existing examples I wouldn't know what to answer, as both societies were rather close in structure. But if you would really twist my arm, then I would slightly side with communism, simply for the reason that at least in that system there was an actual attempt to improve the lives of the average workers through education, healthcare, housing etc...

> I would say that as a society, Communism has more merit ideally,

You lost me

2018-11-09 01:19:04 UTC

Jk, but seriously lol

Thing is, the *idealized* communism is a complete fabrication in order to distract from the logical inconsistencies of the system.

The perfectly functioning communist society is still morally vacant, from the fact that people are forced to accept equality for inequal work

2018-11-09 01:19:54 UTC

That's the thing *ideally*

2018-11-09 01:20:04 UTC

And we all know, that it's simply unattainable

2018-11-09 01:20:34 UTC

Maybe I used the wrong word.

There's the *ideal*, and the *perfectly applied*

2018-11-09 01:20:48 UTC

Both are inattainable

2018-11-09 01:21:11 UTC

The first one is a blatant lie, like writing "free candy" on a windowless van

2018-11-09 01:29:53 UTC

Vee does another sargon drama video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVfiPT0W4VU

2018-11-09 01:30:12 UTC

Or, someone gives you a recipe for chocolate cake, but when you follow it to the 'T' you end up with macaroni cassarole

2018-11-09 01:31:20 UTC

It'd be *ideal* if you ended up with chocolate cake, but it's not like you screwed up somewhere, it was just a lie in the first place

2018-11-09 01:35:22 UTC

sargon retweeted one thing where somebody reported some superchats to the WSJ

2018-11-09 01:35:41 UTC

thats the drama this time

2018-11-09 01:36:28 UTC

2018-11-09 01:38:28 UTC

2018-11-09 01:57:37 UTC

I think Jim wants to get doxxed

2018-11-09 01:57:44 UTC

"Yay, I matter!"

2018-11-09 02:08:10 UTC

no, he's making a big stink about it

2018-11-09 02:08:24 UTC

anyway, apparently Boogie is super public about his suicide thoughts

2018-11-09 02:08:45 UTC

Jeremy (The Quartering) called the cops on him one time

2018-11-09 02:09:01 UTC

then Boogie was like "I no longer trust Jeremy. I thought he'd be smart and keep it between us."

2018-11-09 02:09:04 UTC
