Well once upon a time China had a plan called One Belt One Road which was intended to establish massive regional economic domination across Europe, Asia, and northern Africa, and prepare China to become the supreme economic power of the world. Then Trump came along and effectively put their dick in the dirt. They have already begun massive infrastructure projects which are now halted because China can't afford to continue. Many countries which were once satisfied to make these massive infrastructure deals with China are now much less confident.

It's an attempt to place America's energy and manufacturing base under a Socialist bureaucracy, at the behest of groups like DSA and Justice Democrats. It should be obvious to anyone who isn't an NPC that the only reason you could possibly support the Green New Deal without having the economic brain of a middle schooler is if you wanted to destroy the American economy and halt the massive boom we're having in critical industries like energy.

I think investment in alternative energy can only improve things, but the government doesn't male investments, private entities do.

Because of what Trump is doing, American companies are not only returning to America, they are taking in a lot of new customers directly from our competitors. Thus the globalist cucks are furious.

And yes, America loves innovation, but we understand those things take time and whenever the government tries to take the lead on those projects, they fail miserably and waste billions of dollars.

By all means, innovate until the technology is competitive with fossil fuels, natural gas, and nuclear, but until then you shouldn't get government subsidies just because you suck by comparison.
