Okay so I was thinking about the EU and the whole concept of a global government. Do you think such a thing could be possible if it was run more like American government? Let's assume that you may leave the union, if you so choose; membership in the union will not be forced on you, and that there is accountability checks to ensure the smaller countries do not screwed.

I don’t think the EU being a voluntary confederacy would work at all. Even if they had something like the Articles of Confederation, they’d eventually expand their power beyond what it should be, and prevent countries from leaving.

I need help finding a specific Sargon video. Its the one where he mentions an old and acclaimed feminist who got her fame in the 70s in France (i believe) for writing about her abortion which was illegal at that time.
Nowadays she wrote about the #metoo-movement being narcissistic and got really nasty threads from other feminists calling her old and ugly and the like.
As far as I remember Sargon talks about it in a This Week in Stupid video.
