Socialist miss the point when someone try to point at socialist countries.
The point is not that your branch of socialist has failed, the point is that everytime someone try it the system collapses
HMMMM
No, no it isn't
DID I SAY THEY WERE SOCIALIST?
If government has the power to control all mans of production and income and what you own (if that's what you're advocating, correct me if I'm wrong), then, yes, they have too much power.
Also, other guys, let's just engage here. No one's mind was ever changed by being called names.
We are talking about government, no?
you said they're rich because of their regulations
which is flat out wrong
@Follow Doctor Freeman You must be new here
Okay, yay. You guys win. Iβm not a socialist btw bye
suuuure
Socialism = government OWNS the means of productions as well as manages all of the market.
yeah, i know that's how it goes here, just being devil's advocate.
Hold on, may I add one more thing before you leave, zaddy?

Nice one
blexit when?
I take objection to the notion that regulation is the way to stop monopolies (excepting direct antitrust laws, of course) because Mega ConGlomCorp or whatever has the money to tank regulations and wage hikes that smaller businesses don't have the money or resources to survive. There's precedent of big companies advocating things like minimum wage hikes and government regulation (can link if needed but will need a few minutes), presumably to kill off smaller businesses. Thoughts?
EDIT: Oh, and to say nothing of how smaller businesses don't have the legal resources to navigate the labyrinthine law code.
Kaden, enough about our love life...
Minimum wage is a falacy. Because every time it is raised. Say like here from 7 to 10. Well that raise wont matter as the cost of living quickly raises to match it. As businesses have to pay for that somehow.
Or just hire touch screens instead
^
Or take Kaden for example: Is folding clothes really worth $15/hr?
So in the end mininum wage can be 2 dollars 10 or 50. The cost of living will always adjust so becomes mute
I agree. What do you think of my thoughts on regulation hurting small business instead of the large ones they're supposed to keep in check, though?
Eh. Anti trust, and worker safety laws should be the only ones on the books to be honest
The gove should step out otherwise
More markets
Government should only ever come in as a last resort
