@Roarey but that requires *e f f o r t*

2018-11-01 02:58:10 UTC

logic - reasoning conducted or assessed according to strict principles of validity.
reason - a cause, explanation, or justification for an action or event.

2018-11-01 02:58:27 UTC

@Roarey - They all have the same three letter answer of "yes".

2018-11-01 02:58:48 UTC

I don't see the point of you even asking them.

2018-11-01 02:58:48 UTC

My only point was if you believe morality is a personal preference i dont have to care about what you think about it

2018-11-01 02:59:06 UTC

Still not argued for how morality is objective.

2018-11-01 02:59:08 UTC

You still haven't supplied how morality is objective

2018-11-01 02:59:14 UTC

Waiting.

2018-11-01 02:59:19 UTC

afk - gotta piss

2018-11-01 02:59:21 UTC

Go on.

2018-11-01 02:59:24 UTC

lol

2018-11-01 02:59:31 UTC

Go on bitch.

2018-11-01 02:59:43 UTC

Tell me more about your non positive opinion

2018-11-01 02:59:46 UTC

<:lobster:442083482211188738>

2018-11-01 02:59:59 UTC

Why don't you actually back up a claim for once dan?

2018-11-01 03:00:01 UTC

If it is only a preference why do you care?

2018-11-01 03:00:02 UTC

I'll take it as a no then. Shame. Not even an attempt.

2018-11-01 03:00:14 UTC

Ttfn.

2018-11-01 03:00:27 UTC

You cannot even judge it in your world view

2018-11-01 03:00:35 UTC

@Roarey He is best friends with commies who cannot argue so what did you expect?

2018-11-01 03:01:19 UTC

Didn't miss much it looks like.

2018-11-01 03:01:38 UTC

The old Hitchens 2 step

2018-11-01 03:02:11 UTC

The things I listed were not things you observe in reality. They are reflections of reality. Much like how behavior is a reflection of concepts put into action that then create real effects.

2018-11-01 03:02:14 UTC

I didn't miss much

2018-11-01 03:02:35 UTC

Apparently

2018-11-01 03:02:41 UTC

When people have an argument, both sides are supposed to make their case. I've made mine, you haven't made yours. And you won't because you know it is so laughably dumb I could tear it apart easier than I break wind.

2018-11-01 03:02:55 UTC

You have made no case

2018-11-01 03:03:10 UTC

you are just staking on a non positive claim

2018-11-01 03:03:11 UTC

aka

2018-11-01 03:03:13 UTC

The point of that is that just with the other things you can use concepts to construct what objective morality would be just based on the premises of the words themselves that are then acted out in the world that then can be measured for their effects with various metrics.

2018-11-01 03:03:17 UTC

the Hitchens 2 step

2018-11-01 03:03:24 UTC

"Objective morality does not exist, because people do bad shit all the time"

2018-11-01 03:03:28 UTC

^^^

2018-11-01 03:03:40 UTC

this is not a positive claim

2018-11-01 03:04:04 UTC

Im hoping the ""s was to point out that it was someone's statement and how it is on its face just silly.

2018-11-01 03:04:35 UTC

Much like "Capitalism isn't perfect so lets toss it out the window and try something that has never actually functioned as what it says on the tin."

2018-11-01 03:04:40 UTC

I will ask a simple question

2018-11-01 03:05:02 UTC

Does reason exist irrespective of human consciousness?

2018-11-01 03:05:03 UTC

Tbh i find morality to be both objective and subjective at the same time. It is objective in the logical sense of "cold blooded murder isnt something you should do." But objective in the sense that depending on culture and other factors what the definition of "cold blud" can change.

2018-11-01 03:05:13 UTC

Straw man. I said it isn't objective because moral frameworks differ everywhere, every place, in every time period. And even in groups of people who share a general moral code there are completely different takes on every situation imaginable. Morality cannot possibly be an objective standard if it varies this much. End of story.
