honestly thoguh if you can weld aluminum. and the weld hold as strong at the surrounding material. you know how to weld. Watch some YouTube practice on some steel and get your red seal.

gotta make hundreds of correctly spaced relief cuts on the back side, screw a bunch of blocks to the bench, bend it round the blocks and clamp it into place and then weld it solid
