Our founding fathers were woke. They enslaved niggers, didnt allow women to vote, and manifested our destiny. To me it seems like all we would have to do is put men with our morality back into the seats of power they built. We may have to take our power forcefully, but I think the original system worked well.

Fascism in America would likely, eventually, take the form of a highly restrictive Republic. Outside of that, the differences would likely be State protectionism in the economy, and the whole matter of technology being utilized to better increase efficiency. Also, monopolies weren't as big of an issue before industrialization, so hightened caution with those.

I think a system somewhat similar to the Roman Republic, where the social classes were divided up and given different values of a vote should be implemented, but instead of it being based on income, it would be based on a scale of how much that person has given to society.

Essentially, a man with a child has a more valuable vote than one without, and one with three more than both of them, and it goes up if he owns land, or has served in the military, or is a public servant of some kind. There would be checks and balances written in, so a judge may be able to veto someone's vote if it's clear they're abusing the system.

I think basing it purely on military service may be a bit bad in the long term, as you'd have a nation reliant purely on its military industrial complex, adding in family and land owning bits would help to balance it out. Small business owners and farmers would probably get more of a vote than bankers and drug peddlers, too. Not like I've got the whole system outlined point-by-point, but having it in a certain way, and making it very difficult to amend would be a good step in the right direction.

Though, they do point out that service to the nation can be civil service to gain citizenship, just that everyone has to serve in some manner if they want a voice.

Dedicating a life to the greater good can come in many forms. A healthy domestic life is one such form. Someone who builds a family, and benefits his community can be just as much a force against the nation's domestic enemies as a soldier can be against its foreign ones.

But the farmer and father should be willing to raise a rifle for his folk, as has always been the case for Germanic people. The military and family caste shouldn't be exclusive, if anything the father has all the more reason to fight, and a father that refuses to fight for his children is twice the corward. There's also the idea of early life service and then having a family after, as well.

But, as said, there is non military service, but tbh I firmly distrust any politician who hasn't served, because only one who has served truly knows what they're asking men to do, and truly gains the respect of his men. Look how German soldiers fought for Hitler compared to how Americans fight for civilian presidents.

Politics is violence, so a man who wants to participate in one should be versed in both.

I'm a believer in the militia style martial culture, but ideally there are other options present for advancement in society, so that there is a functioning system of social mobility during peace time. We're on the same page here.

I think the main point is that refusing to answer the call is wrong, and an expanded and updated reserve system would be built, but if there's no open conflict, choosing not to for a selection of valid reasons is not something that makes a man irredeemable.
